Genshin Impact 5.0 Banners and events
The Genshin Impact 5.0 Banners and event details have been officially revealed for the latest patch, titled Flowers Resplendent on the Sun-Scorched Sojourn.
This significant patch introduces the Natlan region to Teyvat, known as the Nation of War and home to the Pyro Archon. Alongside the usual Archon Quest and character stories, there are notable changes and additions across various aspects of Genshin Impact, including updates to Wishes and Artifacts.

Genshin Impact 5.0 Banners
The version 5.0 Banners feature the debut of new 5-Star characters Mualani and Kinich, alongside the new 4-Star character Kachina.
Phase 1 of the 5.0 Banner schedule begins with the introduction of the new 5-Star Hydro catalyst-user Mualani on her Sharktacular Surfari Banner, alongside the returning 5-Star Anemo sword-user Kazuha on his Leaves in the Wind Banner. The new 4-Star Geo polearm-user Kachina is also featured on both Banners, and players can obtain Kachina for free during Act 1 of Natlan’s Archon Quest.
Phase 1 Banners will run concurrently, available from Wednesday 28th August until Tuesday 17th September.
Phase 2 Banners
In Phase 2 of the 5.0 Banner schedule, the new 5-Star Dendro claymore-user Kinich will be featured on his Seeker of Flame-Wrought Secrets Banner, along with the returning 5-Star Electro polearm-user Raiden Shogun on her Reign of Serenity Banner. Phase 2 Banners are expected to run from Tuesday 17th September until Tuesday 8th August, just before the anticipated release date of version 5.1.
Summary of Characters
The following are the new and returning characters available for Wishes during version 5.0:
- Mualani (Sharktacular Surfari Banner – Phase 1): New 5-Star Hydro character using a catalyst.
- Kazuha (Leaves in the Wind Banner – Phase 1): Returning 5-Star Anemo character using a sword.
- Kachina (Sharktacular Surfari and Leaves in the Wind Banners – Phase 1): New 4-Star Geo character using a polearm.
- Kinich (Seeker of Flame-Wrought Secrets Banner – Phase 2): New 5-Star Dendro character using a claymore.
- Raiden Shogun (Reign of Serenity Banner – Phase 2): Returning 5-Star Electro character using a polearm.
Two new weapons will also be introduced in version 5.0: the 5-Star Surf’s Up catalyst in Phase 1 and the 5-Star Fang of the Mountain King claymore in Phase 2.
Genshin Impact 5.0 Events
The 5.0 update brings an array of exciting events, including:
- Natlan, featuring the first three tribe areas.
- Archon Quests Act 1 and 2 for Natlan.
- A reward of 500 Primogems for completing the Natlan Archon Quests before 8th October.
- A quick start option for Natlan’s Archon Quest, available for players who have completed Liyue’s story and are at least Adventure Rank 28.
- Mualani Tribal Chronicles Reputation Quest.
- Kinich Tribe Reputation Quest.
- Participating in Tribal Chronicles and Story Quests to earn Primogems and character level-up materials for Ascension Phases 2 and 3.
- A login event offering x10 Intertwined Fate (ending on 18th September).
- 1600 Primogems sent via mail.
- Additional Stellar Reunion rewards, including x10 Intertwined Fate.
- The Sanctifying Elixir feature, allowing players to select the main Artifact stat and two substats.
- Ability to salvage Artifacts for Artifact EXP instead of Mora.
- Free 5-Star character selector from the Wanderlust Invocation Banner, resetting yearly with more characters added over time.
- Capturing Radiance feature, providing a chance to guarantee the featured 5-star character during event Wishes.
- Only one Fate Point needed to guarantee the selected weapon in the weapon Banner.
- A new feature to track regional specialty Ascension materials on the map.
- Increased material drop rates for certain enemies.
- World Level 9 unlockable after reaching Adventure Rank 58.
- Changes to Battle Pass rewards, allowing players to choose some rewards, including Talent level-up materials.
- Increased stamina from leveling up Statues of Seven in any region.
- Introduction of two new Artifact sets.
- Craftable weapons from Natlan.
- Imaginarium Theatre updates for better understanding of Wondrous Boons.
- Visionary Mode for Imaginarium Theatre, offering tougher challenges for greater rewards.
- Reset of top-up bonuses.
- Genius Invokation TCG updates, including new Natlan cards.
- Ley Line Overflow event.
Featured Events
During version 5.0, four main events will take place:
- Traces of Artistry: Running from 28th August to 16th September, players can earn a free 4-Star catalyst, Ash-Graven Drinking Horn. Adventure Rank 20 and completion of the Prologue Act 3 ‘Song of the Dragon and Freedom’ Archon Quest are required to participate.
- Dodoco’s Boom-Bastic Escapades: Scheduled from 9th to 23rd September, also requiring Adventure Rank 20 and completion of the Prologue Act 3 ‘Song of the Dragon and Freedom’ Archon Quest.
- Of Thorns and Crowns.
- Mementos of Teyvat.
Genshin Impact 5.0 Release Date and Time
Genshin Impact 5.0 was released on Wednesday 28th August following the standard maintenance schedule for new updates, with the launch occurring at 4am (BST). Due to time zone differences, the release in the United States happened on Tuesday 27th August at 8pm (PT).
