Magnemite 100% perfect IV stats, shiny Magnemite in Pokémon Go
This week’s Spotlight Hour focuses on the Magnet Pokémon, making it an excellent opportunity to capture a perfect Magnemite in Pokémon Go. It’s amusing how this month’s final Spotlight Hour mirrors last month’s by featuring a Pokémon that evolves by combining three into a single unit. Let’s see if next month brings us Klink or the new rare spawn, Wiglett!
If you already have more Magnemite than you can handle, consider taking advantage of the double evolution XP bonus during this Spotlight Hour. Instead of just catching Pokémon, you can maximize your XP gains by using a Lucky Egg!
Magnemite 100% Perfect IV Stats in Pokémon Go
This Spotlight Hour is a perfect chance to catch a Magnemite with ideal IV stats. A ‘perfect’ Pokémon can mean two things in Pokémon Go, depending on how you plan to use it. First, there’s the maxed-out, 100% IV version, which has the stats of 15/15/15—ideal for your Pokédex, raids, and Master League. However, due to how CP is calculated using three stats, a perfect IV Pokémon is generally only the best version of itself in the Master League.
While you can’t see the IV of a Pokémon before catching it, you can identify a perfect Magnemite based on its CP. If you’re at Level 30 or above, here are the CPs to look out for:
- Level 30 (wild CP maximum) – 1167 CP
- Level 35 (weather-boosted wild CP maximum) – 1265 CP
These values are based on Trainer Level and may differ if you’re below Level 30.
Shiny Magnemite in Pokémon Go
Yes, there is a shiny Magnemite in Pokémon Go, and it sports a striking golden color! The shiny form of Magnemite was introduced in November 2018 during the Let’s Go celebration. If you catch one, you can evolve it into a shiny Magnezone, but you’ll need 125 Magnemite Candy and a Magnetic Lure Module—25 to evolve it into Magneton and another 100 along with the Lure for Magnezone.
If you’re lucky, you might find a shiny Magnemite in the wild, but keep in mind that this is not a Community Day, so shiny rates are not boosted. Your chances of catching one, especially a perfect version, are relatively low. However, each Magnemite has the potential to be shiny, so it’s a numbers game—catch as many as you can!
What Does Shiny Magnemite Look Like?
Shiny Magnemite takes on a golden hue, with the tips of its magnets turning black. This theme continues with its evolution to Magneton, which also darkens the rest of its magnets. Unfortunately, shiny Magnezone only changes the middle eye color from red to blue, which some may find a bit underwhelming.
Tips for This Spotlight Hour
Aside from the chance to catch a shiny Magnemite, there are several reasons to participate in this week’s Spotlight Hour:
- The double evolution XP bonus allows you to quickly gather a large amount of XP, helping you level up your Trainer. Consider organizing your Pokémon storage into two categories: one for Pokémon you want to evolve and keep, and another for those you intend to evolve and transfer.
- If you’re new to the game, this Spotlight Hour is an ideal time to collect enough Magnemite candy to fully evolve Magnemite and register its evolutions, Magneton and Magnezone, in your Pokédex.
- Catching Magnemite will contribute to your respective catch bonus medals due to its Electric/Steel-type classification.
Remember, Spotlight Hour events last for only one hour, from 6 PM to 7 PM local time. Good luck finding that perfect Magnemite!
