Shiny Tynamo, evolution chart, 100% perfect IV stats and Eelektross best moveset in Pokémon Go

July 2024 marks the inaugural Tynamo Community Day in Pokémon Go! This event introduces the shiny variant of the EleFish Pokémon, alongside an exclusive move.

While the existence of EleFish is still up for debate, those who appreciate these creatures will find them plentiful during this event. Tynamo itself is decent in PvP, yet it doesn’t stand out among competitors. Its evolved form, Eelektross, is less favorable, being a liability in the Go Battle League and ranked lower than both Heliolisk and Manectric as a raid attacker. For many players, this day is primarily about hunting for shiny Tynamo.

For newcomers, a Community Day is a recurring event that celebrates a specific Pokémon, enhancing shiny rates and granting an exclusive move, along with various bonuses. During this event, Tynamo will appear frequently, offering a prime opportunity to catch one with perfect IV stats. If you manage to do so, knowing Eelektross’s best moveset will be advantageous.

Even if Tynamo isn’t your favorite Pokémon, there are plenty of bonuses to entice you outside, including a quarter hatch distance bonus.

Tynamo 100% Perfect IV Stats

The upcoming Community Day is an excellent opportunity to catch a Tynamo with perfect IV stats. A perfect Tynamo has a 15/15/15 IV, which is ideal for raids and the Master League. However, since CP calculations depend on three stats, a perfect IV Pokémon generally excels only in the Master League.

While you cannot see a Pokémon’s IV until you’ve caught it, you can identify a perfect Tynamo based on its CP. If you’re at Level 30 or above, aim for these CPs for a perfect Tynamo:

  • Level 30 (wild CP maximum) – 695 CP
  • Level 35 (weather-boosted wild CP maximum) – 753 CP

These values vary based on your Trainer Level, but they provide a guideline for identifying a perfect Tynamo, especially for players above Level 30.

What Does Tynamo Evolve Into?

Tynamo evolves into Eelektrik with 25 Tynamo Candy, and then into Eelektross with 100 Tynamo Candy and an Unova Stone. Despite their aquatic appearance, all these Pokémon are mono-Electric types.

Here are the Pokédex entries for clarification:

  • Tynamo: A single Tynamo lacks power, but a school can generate significant electricity.
  • Eelektrik: They coil around foes and shock them, showcasing their appetite when hunting.
  • Eelektross: It uses its arms to capture and drag prey while delivering electric shocks.

The Community Day event will take place from 2 PM to 5 PM local time, giving you three hours to gather Tynamo Candy for evolution.

Eelektross Moves and Best Moveset Recommendations

Although Eelektross may not be the best choice for competitive play, its moveset is crucial for those who want to use it. The introduction of the exclusive Fast Move Volt Switch during this Community Day is a notable enhancement. Eelektross’s best moveset includes:

  • Fast Moves:
    • Spark (Electric)
    • Volt Switch (Electric, exclusive)
  • Charged Moves:
    • Dragon Claw (Dragon)
    • Liquidation (Water)
    • Thunderbolt (Electric)
    • Crunch (Dark)
    • Acid Spray (Poison)

In PvP settings, if you still wish to use Eelektross, it can achieve wins against certain Pokémon in the Great League, but it faces tough competition against many top-tier options.

What Do Shiny Tynamo, Eelektrik, and Eelektross Look Like?

This Community Day offers the first chance to catch a shiny Tynamo. The shiny version is subtly different from the normal variant, featuring slightly more saturation. Eelektrik also shows minor enhancements in color, while Eelektross boasts a more distinct shiny appearance, turning from blue to a deep green with ice-blue fins.
