Sunsteel Strike and Moongeist Beam Adventure Effects in Pokémon Go

Sunsteel Strike and Moongeist Beam are the latest Adventure Effects introduced in Pokémon Go for Dusk Mane Necrozma and Dawn Wings Necrozma, respectively. These effects enhance your gameplay experience by providing unique bonuses during your adventures.

The concept of Adventure Effects was first introduced during the Go Tour: Sinnoh event, showcasing special abilities themed around certain Pokémon. While previous effects focused on manipulating time and space, Sunsteel Strike and Moongeist Beam bring the themes of day and night into play.

Each of these Adventure Effects is specifically linked to a particular Pokémon. To utilize Sunsteel Strike, you need to fuse Necrozma with Solgaleo; for Moongeist Beam, you must fuse Necrozma with Lunala. This fusion process is essential for unlocking these powerful abilities.

Sunsteel Strike Adventure Effect Bonuses and Cost

The Sunsteel Strike Adventure Effect is exclusive to Dusk Mane Necrozma. To activate it, you must first fuse Necrozma with Solgaleo. Once activated, this effect allows you to evolve Pokémon that typically evolve during daytime at any time and causes daytime Pokémon to spawn in your area. This is particularly beneficial for players who often play during the later hours.

How to Use an Adventure Effect in Pokémon Go

To utilize an Adventure Effect in Pokémon Go, you first need to ensure you have the Pokémon that knows the corresponding move. For Sunsteel Strike, this is Dusk Mane Necrozma, and for Moongeist Beam, it’s Dawn Wings Necrozma. Both Pokémon will learn their respective moves automatically upon fusion.

It’s important to remember that you can only activate one Adventure Effect at a time. If you are currently using Sunsteel Strike, you cannot activate Moongeist Beam until the first effect has ended. Pokémon Go will notify you if you attempt to use a second Adventure Effect prematurely.

To activate an Adventure Effect, locate the Pokémon in your storage, open its Summary page, and find the Adventure Effect section. Press ‘Use’ to open the window where you can select how much Stardust and Necrozma Candy you want to spend. The duration of the effect can be increased in increments, with a maximum of 24 hours available for a significant resource cost.

After confirming your selection, a cutscene will play to show your Pokémon using the move, and the Adventure Effect will be activated. Enjoy the benefits of Sunsteel Strike or Moongeist Beam as the timer counts down!
