Pokémon Go Ultra Beast list

Ultra Beasts were introduced to Pokémon Go during the global and in-person events for Go Fest 2022. These extradimensional Pokémon originate from Ultra Space and travel through Ultra Wormholes, having first made their appearance in the main series of games in Pokémon Sun and Moon for the Nintendo 3DS. Nihilego was the first Ultra Beast to be featured in Pokémon Go.

Currently, most Ultra Beasts are available in five-star raids, but they remain relatively rare. The encouraging news is that all Ultra Beasts have now been released in Pokémon Go, allowing players to see if any are still missing from their collections.

Ultra Beast Pokémon Released in Pokémon Go

The debut of the first Ultra Beast, Nihilego, occurred during the global Go Fest 2022 event in June 2022. Following this, three additional Ultra Beasts—Pheromosa, Buzzwole, and Xurkitree—were introduced through in-person Go Fest events held in Berlin, Seattle, and Sapporo, respectively. They later appeared during the global Go Fest finale event in August 2022.

As time progressed, more Ultra Beasts continued to emerge from their wormholes. Celesteela and Kartana were added during the Season of Light, with the former appearing in the Southern Hemisphere and the latter in the Northern Hemisphere.

After a two-year wait, another Ultra Beast, Poipole, was released in March 2024 as part of the World of Wonders season. Players could catch Poipole by completing the first step of a specific special research quest. The evolution of Poipole into Naganadel became available in May 2024, requiring 200 Poipole Candy and the capture of 20 Dragon-type Pokémon with Poipole as the buddy Pokémon.

The Ultra Space Wonders event also introduced the final two Ultra Beasts in Pokémon Go—Stakataka and Blacephalon. Both of these Pokémon are regionally exclusive, with Stakataka found in the Eastern Hemisphere and Blacephalon in the Western Hemisphere.

This list does not include Necrozma, Cosmog, and their various evolutions and forms. While these Pokémon are connected to the Ultra Beasts due to their Ultra Space abilities, they are not classified as Ultra Beasts.

Additional Information About Ultra Beasts

In Pokémon Go, players can use any Poké Ball to catch Ultra Beasts; however, Beast Balls were introduced during the in-person Go Fest 2022 events. These special Poké Balls are designed specifically for catching Ultra Beasts and feature a sci-fi design. Despite their unique appearance, they function similarly to Premier Balls in raids, with a limited number available based on performance during the battle.
