Pawmi 100% perfect IV stats, shiny Pawmot in Pokémon Go

This week’s Spotlight Hour features the newest Mouse Pokémon, Pawmi. If you haven’t added this Gen 9 Pokémon to your Pokédex yet, now is the perfect opportunity to catch a Pawmi in Pokémon Go.

Pawmi stands out among Pikaclones because it has real potential. Its final evolution, Pawmot, performs reasonably well in the Great League due to its solid moveset, though it comes with the drawback of being a glass cannon in Pokémon Go.

If you’ve already built a Pawmot for PVP, make sure to take advantage of the other highlight of this Spotlight Hour: the double evolution XP bonus. Instead of focusing solely on catching Pokémon, consider using a Lucky Egg to maximize your XP gains!

Pawmi 100% Perfect IV Stats in Pokémon Go

This Spotlight Hour is a fantastic chance to catch a Pawmi with perfect IV stats. In Pokémon Go, “perfect” can mean two things based on how you plan to use the Pokémon. A 100% IV version, which is a 15/15/15, is ideal for your 4-star Pokédex, raids, and Master League. However, due to CP calculations, a perfect IV Pokémon generally only excels in the Master League.

While you can’t see the IV of a Pokémon until you catch it, you can identify a perfect Pawmi based on its CP. If you’re Level 30 or above, aim for the following CPs for a perfect 15/15/15 Pawmi:

  • Level 30 (wild CP maximum) – 545 CP
  • Level 35 (weather-boosted wild CP maximum) – 590 CP

These values align with Trainer Level until you reach Level 30, which most players have surpassed, making these figures relevant for the majority.

Is Pawmot Good in PVP?

Yes, Pawmot is viable in the Go Battle League, though it may not be at the top of the meta for now. Its Electric/Fighting-type combination is unique, but it does have some weaknesses. Pawmot is somewhat glassy, so while it can deal damage, it may not last long in battles.

In the Great League, Pawmot can secure wins against Pokémon like Registeel, Skarmory, Azumarill, Lanturn, and Galarian Stunfisk. However, it will struggle against opponents like Whiscash, Dragonair, Lickitung, Annihilape, and Talonflame.

If you take Pawmot into the Ultra League, it holds a relatively similar position. A perfect 0/15/15 can reach 2490 CP at Level 40.5, making it a cost-effective option. It can defeat Pidgeot, Tapu Fini, Poliwrath, Cobalion, and Registeel, but it will have a tough time against Cresselia, Giratina Altered, Talonflame, Steelix, and Virizion.

It’s advisable not to use Pawmot in the Master League.

Is There a Shiny Pawmi in Pokémon Go?

Unfortunately, shiny Pawmi has not yet been released in Pokémon Go. Since Spotlight Hour events do not provide an increased shiny rate, the chances of encountering a shiny during this hour remain quite low.

What Does Shiny Pawmi Look Like?

While shiny Pawmi is not available, we know what it looks like thanks to its presence in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Shiny Pawmi features a simple color swap, changing its yellow fur to pink, while its cheeks and paws retain their original hues. This design choice has sparked some criticism for its lack of creativity.

Other Tips for This Spotlight Hour

Aside from aiming to catch a perfect Pawmi, there are other compelling reasons to participate in this week’s Spotlight Hour. The standout feature is the double evolution XP bonus, allowing players to accumulate XP rapidly, helping to level up their trainers. A smart strategy is to maintain two tags in your Pokémon storage: one for Pokémon you want to evolve and keep, and another for Pokémon that you intend to evolve and transfer.

For newcomers, this Spotlight Hour presents a great opportunity to gather enough Pawmi candy to fully evolve the Pokémon and register its evolutions in your Pokédex.

Being an Electric-type Pokémon, catching several Pawmi during this hour will also contribute to your catch bonus medal progress.

Remember, Spotlight Hour events last for only an hour—from 6 PM to 7 PM local time. Next week, Nidoran Female will take the spotlight, offering a double catch Stardust bonus.

Good luck finding that perfect Pawmi!
