Roar of Time and Spacial Rend Adventure Effect in Pokémon Go explained

Adventure Effects are exciting new features in Pokémon Go, introduced during the Go Tour: Sinnoh event in February 2024. Currently, there are two Adventure Effects available: Roar of Time and Spacial Rend, each associated with a specific Pokémon.

The Roar of Time Adventure Effect is linked to Origin Forme Dialga, while the Spacial Rend Adventure Effect corresponds to Origin Forme Palkia. To utilize these Adventure Effects, players must first capture the respective Pokémon.

Roar of Time Adventure Effect: Bonus and Cost

The Roar of Time Adventure Effect can only be activated with Origin Forme Dialga. This powerful effect pauses the timers for various items, including Incense, Lucky Eggs, Star Pieces, and especially the Daily Adventure Incense.

Activating the Roar of Time for six minutes costs 5,000 Stardust and five Dialga Candy. Players can extend this effect in six-minute increments, up to a maximum duration of two hours. To extend it to the full two-hour limit, it will cost 100,000 Stardust and 100 Dialga Candy. For those looking to maximize their time, the Roar of Time can be further extended to a staggering 24 hours, at a cost of 1,200,000 Stardust and 1,200 Dialga Candy.

In battle, Roar of Time boasts impressive Power statistics: 150 Power in Trainer Battles and 160 Power in Gyms and Raids.

Spacial Rend Adventure Effect: Bonus and Cost

Similarly, the Spacial Rend Adventure Effect is exclusive to Origin Forme Palkia. This effect allows players to increase the distance at which they can encounter wild Pokémon while also adding a unique visual effect to the map.

Activating the Spacial Rend for 10 minutes costs 5,000 Stardust and 5 Palkia Candy. Players can extend this effect in ten-minute increments, reaching a maximum duration of two hours. Extending to the full two-hour limit will require 60,000 Stardust and 60 Palkia Candy. For a full 24-hour experience, the cost will be 720,000 Stardust and 720 Palkia Candy, making it a significant investment.

In battle scenarios, Spacial Rend has the following Power: 95 Power in Trainer Battles and 160 Power in Gyms and Raids.

Using Adventure Effects in Pokémon Go

To utilize either Adventure Effect, players need to have the respective Pokémon in their collection: Origin Forme Dialga for Roar of Time and Origin Forme Palkia for Spacial Rend. It’s important to note that these moves cannot be learned via any TM; they can only be obtained by capturing Pokémon that already know them. Regular forms of Dialga and Palkia, as well as Smeargle, cannot learn these Adventure Effects.

Players can only activate one Adventure Effect at a time. For instance, if Spacial Rend is active to boost wild Pokémon encounters, players cannot simultaneously use Roar of Time to pause the timer on their Lucky Eggs. When attempting to activate a second Adventure Effect, the game will notify players of this limitation.

To use an Adventure Effect, players must navigate to the respective Pokémon’s page in their storage and scroll down to the Adventure Effect section. From there, selecting ‘Use’ brings up a window for deciding the amount of Stardust and Candy to spend. The duration for Roar of Time increases in six-minute increments, while Spacial Rend increases in ten-minute increments, both having a maximum time of two hours.

Once comfortable with the duration and cost, players can confirm by selecting ‘Use’ again. This activates the effect, complete with a cutscene of the Pokémon using its special attack. A timer will appear on the screen, showing how long the Adventure Effect will last, allowing players to track the time remaining and extend the duration if desired.

How to Obtain Origin Forme Dialga and Palkia

As of now, Origin Forme Dialga and Origin Forme Palkia have been available during the Go Tour: Sinnoh event. These Pokémon can be caught during specific event windows, making it crucial for players to take advantage of these opportunities.

During the event, players had the choice between Diamond and Pearl versions, affecting their chances of encountering the corresponding Origin Form Pokémon. Selecting Diamond increases the likelihood of encountering an Origin Forme Dialga, while choosing Pearl leads to an encounter with Origin Forme Palkia.

Additionally, players have a slim chance of catching the other Origin Form Pokémon with their respective Adventure Effect attacks, although this is rare. Players can battle and potentially catch Origin Forme Dialga and Palkia in five-star raids during the event.

With the right strategy and timing, players can harness the power of Adventure Effects and enhance their Pokémon Go experience significantly.
