Pokémon Go Carnival of Love Collection Challenge, field research tasks and rewards
Carnival of Love is the special Valentine’s Day event in Pokémon Go, featuring a delightful influx of pink Pokémon. This event provides players with the opportunity to engage in the Carnival of Love Collection Challenge as well as event-exclusive field research tasks.
During this exciting event, players can catch the unique Heart Pattern Spinda and obtain a Heart Trim Furfrou. It’s an ideal time for collectors to add these exclusive Pokémon to their inventory.
The Carnival of Love event also introduces the shiny version of Oricorio, although the form available will vary depending on the player’s region.
Carnival of Love Collection Challenge Pokémon List
The Carnival of Love Collection Challenge is active until February 15th. Completing this challenge grants players valuable rewards and contributes to their Elite Collector Medal progress. Note that four of the Pokémon must be acquired through evolution rather than simply catching them.

- Quaxwell – Evolve Quaxly using 25 Quaxly Candy
- Quaquavel – Evolve Quaxwell using 100 Quaxly Candy
- Snubbull – Found in the wild or via an event-exclusive field research task (Catch 5 Pokémon)
- Granbull – Evolve Snubbull using 50 Snubbull Candy
- Skitty – Found in the wild
- Delcatty – Evolve Skitty using 50 Skitty Candy
- Stufful – Found in the wild or via an event-exclusive field research task (Catch 5 Pokémon)
- Luvdisc – Found in the wild or via an event-exclusive field research task (Catch 10 Pokémon)
- Furfrou – Found in the wild, possible as a seasonal Research Breakthrough reward, or via an event-exclusive field research task (Catch 10 Pokémon)
Upon completing the challenge, players will be rewarded with 5000 XP, 2500 Stardust, and a Roserade.
Carnival of Love Field Research Tasks
During the Carnival of Love event, players can earn exclusive field research tasks by spinning PokéStops. These tasks can be saved and completed after the event concludes, but it is advisable to finish them during the event for better rewards. Here is a list of the Carnival of Love field research tasks available: Completing these tasks can significantly aid in fulfilling the Collection Challenge. The Carnival of Love event runs until February 15th, featuring two exciting Candy XL bonuses. Players will earn two guaranteed Candy XL from evolving Pokémon and have an increased chance of receiving Candy XL while walking with their buddy. In Brazil, players can enjoy an additional bonus of double catch XP in celebration of the Brazilian Carnaval. Additionally, players can catch various Pokémon more frequently during the event, including: Players can also give Furfrou a Heart Trim and participate in PokéStop Showcases. A new animated pose, the Luvdisc Tambourine Pose, will be available for purchase in the in-game shop. Moreover, a pay-to-play timed research quest will be available during the Carnival of Love, priced at £0.99, $1, or the equivalent in the player’s region.
