Learn how to catch Cetoddle in Pokémon Go and evolve it into Cetitan.

How to get Cetoddle in Pokémon Go

Cetoddle made its first appearance in Pokémon Go during the Winter Holiday 2023 event. Here’s how to catch Cetoddle during this event:

  • In the wild
  • In one-star raids
  • Winter Wishes – Complete ‘Earn 25,000 XP’ or ‘Earn 7,500 Stardust’ (depends on Path choice) in the second quest step

Finding a Cetoddle in the wild is likely the easiest method during the Winter Holiday event. Players should keep an eye on their radar to know when a Cetoddle is nearby and at which PokéStop it can be found.

Due to its inclusion in the second quest step, players may catch Cetoddle before completing the Winter Wishes quest. This quest still provides an excellent opportunity to earn candy for evolving it into Cetitan.

Catching a wild Cetoddle or one through Winter Wishes conserves a Raid Pass. Although Cetoddle is a one-star raid boss, it should be easy to defeat solo if your Pokémon are sufficiently powerful. However, players should remember that Cetoddle can still flee if they run out of Premier Balls!

Regardless of the method chosen, it is highly recommended to catch at least one Cetoddle before the Winter Holiday 2023 event concludes, as its spawn rate may decrease afterward.

The Max Out Season is here! You can now catch Dynamax Pokémon through Max Battles. First, visit Power Spots to collect Max Particles and complete the To the Max! quest. Don’t forget to try out Routes, Gift Exchange, and Party Play while hunting rare Pokémon, battling in the Go Battle League, or competing in PokéStop Showcases.

How to evolve Cetoddle into Cetitan in Pokémon Go

To evolve Cetoddle into Cetitan, you will need 50 Cetoddle Candy.

For a quicker evolution, use a regular or Silver Pinap Berry whenever you catch a Cetoddle to double the candy earned. You can also designate a Cetoddle as your buddy to earn candy passively while playing Pokémon Go, or use Rare Candy for this purpose.
