About Hisuian Samurott

Hisuian Samurott first appeared in the Pokémon universe in Pokémon Legends: Arceus for the Nintendo Switch. In that game, it is a regional variant of Oshawott and shares the spotlight with the final evolutions of other starter Pokémon from the same game, including Hisuian Typhlosion and Hisuian Decidueye.

Similar to its traditional form, Hisuian Samurott’s design draws inspiration from an otter. However, its armored appearance hints at rōnin, samurai without a master. This design choice reflects the game’s setting in the Hisui region, which is inspired by Japan’s Meiji Restoration period, leading to the modern Sinnoh region in the Pokémon universe.

Good luck catching Hisuian Samurott in Pokémon Go!
