The Party Up! event marks the conclusion of the Season of Adventures Abound in Pokémon Go. This event focuses on Party Play, the game’s multiplayer feature, requiring players to team up to complete the Party Play timed research quest. However, even solo players can participate by completing event-exclusive field research tasks.
‘Party Up!’ Quest Step in Pokémon Go
The Party Up! quest is a timed challenge that players must complete before the event concludes. To fully reap the rewards, participants need to finish the quest before the deadline. The quest is inherently focused on Party Play, so at least one additional player is required.
Here are the Party Up! quest steps and associated rewards:
- Win 3 raids while in a party – Hisuian Growlithe encounter
- Use 5 supereffective Charged Attacks while in a party – 3 Charged TMs
- Catch 30 Pokémon while in a party – 1 Lucky Egg
- Spin 30 PokéStops or Gyms while in a party – 1 Premium Battle Pass
- Explore 3km while in a party – 2500 XP
- Complete 3 Party Challenges – 1000 Stardust
Rewards: 5000 XP, 2000 Stardust, and a Party Hat Wurmple encounter.
Party Up Field Research Tasks in Pokémon Go
During the Party Up! event, players can earn exclusive field research tasks by spinning PokéStops. These tasks can be saved in the player’s field research collection and completed during or after the event. Here are the tasks available:
- Catch 10 Pokémon – Quaxly encounter
- Win a raid – Party Hat Wurmple encounter
- Power up Pokémon 5 times – Fuecoco encounter
- Power up Pokémon 10 times – Hisuian Growlithe, Party Hat Wurmple, or Nosepass encounter
- Trade a Pokémon – Gothita or Solosis encounter
- Explore 1km – Sprigatito encounter
- Spin 5 PokéStops – 300 Stardust
- Spin 10 PokéStops – 3 Hyper Potions or 2 Revives
Everything You Need to Know About the Party Up Event in Pokémon Go
The Party Up! event features several bonuses running until the event ends. Players can earn double XP from winning raids, but the main bonuses revolve around trading. Participants can conduct five Special Trades per day, totaling up to 30 Special Trades throughout the event. Additionally, players will earn double trade candy, and those at Level 31 or above will receive Candy XL from trading.
Throughout the event, the following Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild:

- Sprigatito
- Fuecoco
- Quaxly
- Lechonk
- Nymble

Players can also battle various Pokémon in raids:

Lastly, those who missed out on the Master Ball from the Timed Investigation: Master Ball quest can now acquire a Special Research quest from the in-game shop, allowing them to earn this additional Master Ball. This quest cannot be purchased using PokéCoins.
