To complete the ‘Let’s Play a Game‘ side quest in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, you must clear the Eastern Temple. This quest involves solving various puzzles and culminating in a challenging boss fight with Smog. How to Start Let’s Play a Game

Begin your adventure by speaking to Sago, who is positioned at the entrance of the Eastern Temple. The temple is located directly west of the Zora area, just past the Crossflows Plaza landmark.

Let’s Play a Game Walkthrough

The Eastern Temple consists of seven rooms, with the final room housing the boss, Smog. Here’s a detailed walkthrough to guide you through the quest:

Room 1

As you enter the first room, utilize an Echo ability, such as the Bombfish, to attack one of the electrified orbs. This will grant you the Spark Echo if you haven’t acquired it yet. After that, proceed through the door into the next room.

Room 2

In the second room, your objective is to direct three Sparks into the box located in the top left corner. Use the Tri Rod to move the boulder in the center of the room to modify the Sparks’ paths. The first Spark will follow its own path into the box, but you’ll need to guide the second one by repositioning the boulder at the left side of the room. Once three Sparks are inside the box, the door to the next room will unlock.

Room 3

In this room, you only need to get two Sparks into the box at the top left corner, and your Spark Echo will count as one. Start by using the Tri Rod to move the lower boulder closer to the wall on the right side. Then, shift the upper boulder away from the ramp. Use your Spark Echo from the ramp to direct the second Spark into the box, opening the door to the next area.

Room 4

In the fourth room, simply collect the Sparks with the Tri Rod to clear the area around the chest. Open the chest to receive five portions of Rock Salt, then descend the ladder into the next room.

Room 5

Prepare for some side-scrolling platforming! Make two careful jumps across the middle section of the upper platform to avoid the Sparks, then leap to the next platform to progress. In the following area, wait until the first Spark moves to the right before swimming down to retrieve a treasure chest containing a purple Rupee, valued at 50 Rupees. Afterward, swim back up and exit through the ladder on the right into the next room.

Room 6

In this room, smash the pots to collect items such as Floral Nectar and Electro Apples. Once you’ve gathered your rewards, proceed through the door to enter the final room where the boss awaits.

Let’s Play a Game Rewards

Upon completing the quest and returning to Sago, you will receive the Ancient Charm accessory, which reduces the damage Zelda takes when equipped. Additionally, defeating Smog will grant you a Heart Piece and a significant amount of Rupees, essential for completing the ‘Let’s Play a Game‘ side quest.
