Understanding Automations in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom
Before you can collect Automations, you need to unlock their usage in the game. This requires completing the ‘Automation Engineer Dampé’ side quest, which becomes available after finishing the Hyrule Castle dungeon. You will find Dampé dealing with some Crow-related issues just north of Hyrule Ranch, where this quest begins. Completing this quest will enable you to unlock additional Automations, gradually expanding your collection.
It’s important to note that Automations can break over time. If this occurs, you must return to Dampé for repairs, which will require exchanging a number of Monster Stones. These stones can be found in various chests scattered throughout Hyrule.
Another essential aspect to remember is that Zelda must wind up the Automations before they become operational. This process can take some time, so it’s best to do it in a safe location. There are also Smoothie recipes available that can expedite the winding process, and you can explore these in the Smoothies and Potions recipe list.
When using Automations, consider if they’re the right choice for the situation at hand. While they can be beneficial, they do not offer the same speed as Echo creation, and their supply is limited. Choosing the wrong Automation could lead to it breaking, requiring a trip back to Dampé. Additionally, Zelda risks losing a significant amount of health if she is ambushed while winding one up. Some Automations, like the High-Teku Baba, may also have negative side effects, such as consuming items and Rupees from defeated enemies.
Good luck with your Automations, and if you need further assistance, consider looking for additional resources and guides to enhance your gameplay experience!
