How to find and defeat King Baba in Core Keeper

After defeating the three initial bosses and activating the core in Core Keeper, you can choose to continue the story by directly tackling the bosses behind the wall, or you can take the opportunity to gain some extra combat experience by defeating various optional bosses, including King Baba.

How to Find and Defeat King Baba in Core Keeper

Similar to Malugaz the Corrupted, this boss will not be wandering around the map. Instead, you will need to obtain a crown summoning idol in order to summon him. This item can be purchased from the Merchant with a Cloak, a character you unlock after defeating Ghorm for the first time.

Once you have the idol, you will need to find a summoning symbol on the map. The one you can use is located near Glurch. Simply equip the idol and place it on the ground, over the mark. Seconds later, King Baba will appear, starting the battle.

This boss is not very difficult compared to the other Masses, but the fight will be easier if you are well equipped with good armor and ranged or melee weapons. His attacks are pretty straightforward; he will attempt to crush you and summon minions. If you find yourself overwhelmed, it’s best to focus on clearing some of the smaller slimes before concentrating on the King.
