The Genshin Impact 5.1 Banner and event details have been officially announced for the latest patch, titled The Rainbow Destined to Burn. This update marks the first since Natlan’s debut and brings a continuation of the Archon Quest, a celebration of Nahida’s birthday in Sumeru during the main event, along with several quality of life improvements.

Genshin Impact 5.1 Release Date and Time

Genshin Impact 5.1 is set to release on Wednesday 9th October. Following the usual maintenance schedule for new updates, the patch will go live at 4am (BST). In the United States, the update will be available a day earlier on Tuesday 8th October at 8pm (PT).

• Central US: Tuesday 8th October, 10pm (CT)
• East Coast US: Tuesday 8th October, 11pm (ET)

Genshin Impact 5.1 Banners

The version 5.1 Banners will introduce new 5-Star character Xilonen, along with three returning 5-Star characters. Phase 1 of the 5.1 Banner schedule will feature new 5-Star Geo sword-user Xilonen on her Forgefire’s Blessing Banner, alongside returning 5-Star Geo sword-user Chiori on her Of Silken Clouds Woven Banner. Both banners are expected to run from Wednesday 9th October until Tuesday 29th October.

In Phase 2 of the 5.1 Banner schedule, returning 5-Star Dendro catalyst-user Nahida will appear on her The Moongrass’ Enlightenment Banner, while returning 5-Star Pyro polearm-user Hu Tao will be on her Moment of Bloom Banner. These Phase 2 Banners will run from Tuesday 29th October until Tuesday 19th November, just before the anticipated release of version 5.2.

In summary, the new and returning 5-Star characters available during 5.1 are:

• Xilonen (Forgefire’s Blessing Banner – Phase 1): New 5-Star Geo character who uses a sword.
• Chiori (Of Silken Clouds Woven Banner – Phase 1): Returning 5-Star Geo character who uses a sword.
• Nahida (The Moongrass’ Enlightenment Banner – Phase 2): Returning 5-Star Dendro character who uses a catalyst.
• Hu Tao (Moment of Bloom Banner – Phase 2): Returning 5-Star Pyro character who uses a polearm.

Additionally, a new 5-Star weapon will debut in version 5.1: the Peak Control Song sword in Phase 1, Xilonen’s signature weapon. Three new 4-Star weapons will also be introduced:

• Fruitful Hook (claymore)

Genshin Impact 5.1 Events

The Genshin Impact 5.1 update will introduce several exciting events:

• Act 3 and 4 of Natlan’s Archon Quest, rewarding players with 500 extra Primogems for completing both acts during 5.1.
• Xilonen’s Tribal Chronicles Story Quest, which offers additional Primogems and Ascension materials for completion.
• 400 extra Primogems for completing Natlan World Quests and progressing in Natlan Exploration until the end of version 5.2.
• New boss encounter (Secret Source Constructor).
• Envisioned Echoes for Zhongli and Keqing.
• New cards for Genius Invokation TCG.
• Spiral Abyss skip feature allowing players to skip certain floors if they achieved full stars in the previous Abyss.
• Improvements in multiple Domain Reliquaries opening, Artifact filtering, and Character Ascension material sorting.
• Crafting bench enhancements.

Additionally, five main events will take place during 5.1:

• Chromatic Ode of Candies and Roses: A main event featuring various minigames to celebrate Nahida’s birthday in Sumeru, with rewards including a free 4-Star Candace character.
