100% prologue in Silent Hill 2 Remake

The Prologue serves as the opening chapter of our comprehensive guide to navigating the eerie world of Silent Hill 2 Remake. Throughout this guide, we aim to assist you in traversing each section without revealing any significant plot points. This includes locating collectibles, solving puzzles when necessary, and much more.

Before diving deeper, it’s essential to note that your inventory contains two collectibles. These include the Photo of Mary and the Letter from Mary. Although they technically aren’t classified as collectibles since they won’t appear in your “Notes” section, we prefer to mention them here. Next, turn your attention to the road leading to the forest.

Proceed down this path until you unlock the achievement/trophy “No Turning Back”. After that, return to the parking area and approach the open door of the car to retrieve the Map of South Vale.

Next, look near the white van by the Toluca Lake sign; you will find a set of stairs leading down. Continue along the path for a while, mentally noting the location of this area. It appears to be a beautiful spot for a family vacation, perfect for a picnic or perhaps a barbecue… possibly of human meat. Eventually, you will encounter a well with a red page floating. This indicates a save point, represented by red pages. Continue forward until you see a cutscene after crossing the gate.

To proceed, head down to the shore of the lake and turn left, keeping the water on your right. Before long, you will notice the exit of the cemetery. Keep walking straight ahead without veering off (as there’s nothing of interest) until a red metal fence comes into view.

The gate is locked, but you can continue along a gate to the left, which is slightly ajar, subtly indicating that this is the way forward. Navigate around the building on the left and enter through the window in the alley. If you look ahead, you’ll spot a lit desk.

Inside, you will find the Key to the Repair Shop, which is specifically used to unlock the red gate you encountered earlier. After passing through the gate, continue until you reach the end of the path, where a blocked tunnel awaits.

Approach and interact with the wooden planks to discover the first collectible, or atisbo #1, of a new series. Continue to the right, following the only available path. It won’t be long before you witness a sequence and arrive at the Streets of Silent Hill.
