Steps to Wake Up Hypnos

To awaken Hypnos during your Hades 2 journey, you must first unlock a specific alchemy formula in the Cauldron at the Crossroads. However, this formula isn’t available right away; you must fulfill certain criteria for it to show up:

• You need to try offering Nectar to Hypnos on two separate occasions.
• You must possess at least one Poppy in your inventory, which can be grown in the garden using Poppy Seeds that you can obtain with a shovel from excavation sites in Tartarus.

Once these conditions are met, the formula to awaken Hypnos will become available. After you speak with Hypnos again at the Crossroads, Melinoë will mention she has come up with an idea that could help wake him.

Acquiring the Formula

If you’ve met the previous conditions, the formula “End of the Deep Slumber” will now be accessible in the Cauldron. To craft it, you must gather these ingredients:

• Moly x1
• Mandrake x2
• Poppy x3

After successfully crafting the formula, you will receive +1 Dream Vapors, a resource meant to assist in waking Hypnos from his slumber.

The Outcome of Waking Hypnos

When you first deliver the Dream Vapors to Hypnos using the “End of the Deep Slumber” formula, you will discover that he does not fully awaken. Instead, Melinoë is transported to a dreamscape where Hypnos lies.

Within this dream world, Hypnos remains deeply asleep, but a conversation with him reveals he murmurs several words, suggesting he is on the verge of waking. Unfortunately, after this interaction, Melinoë is returned to the Crossroads, and Hypnos continues to sleep as before.
