How to Unlock an Allied Chess Knight in CoD Black Ops 6 Zombies
In the midst of the excitement surrounding Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, players can unlock a special ally in the Zombies mode: a chess knight. This guide outlines the steps and requirements needed to summon this formidable NPC, enhancing your gaming experience.
Locating the Chess Piece
The first part of this intriguing Easter egg involves finding a chess piece on the Citadelle des Morts map. This chess piece is a small white knight mounted by a gallant knight, but its location varies with each game.
To assist you, we will provide several potential locations where the chess piece might spawn. You can visit them in any sequence, and if you don’t find it in one spot, move on to the next until you do. Make sure to hold the interact button to pick it up once you locate it.
Chess Piece Location 1
- Location: In the basement of the tavern, look for the piece on a shelf beside some bottles and canned goods.
Chess Piece Location 2
- Location: Near the Elemental Refresh advantage machine, the piece may be on a table with small televisions or on the central desk.
Chess Piece Location 3
- Location: In the lobby area with the dragon statue, check the table next to a light source in the hallway to the right of the statue.
Chess Piece Location 4
- Location: In the dungeon room with the Quick Revive advantage machine, the piece might be found on a desk.
Summoning the Chess Knight
Once you have the chess piece, you can summon your ally. The process is simple. First, go to the living room where the Energizing advantage machine is located.
- In this space, you’ll see a chessboard on a wooden table.
- Approach the board and interact with it to use the chess piece you collected.
- This will begin the summoning of the knight, creating an area of effect around the board.
- You must then defeat zombies near the board within this area to charge the summoning location with souls.
- It’s best to initiate this during a round filled with zombies (if there aren’t enough, the summoning may fail).
After you’ve defeated enough zombies, the chessboard will fully charge, and a large chess piece resembling a blue specter will appear. This guardian knight will accompany you, unleashing powerful explosions similar to those of Dr. Chungo whenever he moves.
If zombies are in the knight’s path, they will be crushed and eliminated instantly. This NPC ally can be incredibly useful, especially when playing solo or in a team during higher rounds. However, keep in mind that his presence is temporary; he will eventually disappear after a certain time.
