How to Find the Katana in The Forest

Acquiring the Katana should be one of your main objectives as soon as you land on the island. Its ability to handle a variety of foes can be a lifesaver in numerous scenarios.

To locate the Katana, you’ll need to make your way into a cave that’s marked on your map. Luckily, in the initial parts of this cave, you won’t run into any enemies, as there are sections that are free of threats.

It’s a good idea to bring a light source along since the cave is quite dark and deep. If possible, opt for a flashlight, though torches can work as well.

As you enter the cave, you’ll find various supplies that can be useful for your journey. Just a short distance in, you’ll come across a yellow rope that you will need to climb. After that, the paths will split.

Your best bet is to take the left path, as the right one leads to a potentially dangerous mutant encounter. Keep following the wooden planks along the ground and proceed down the left route, navigating through some narrow passages.

Continue straight until you spot strings hanging from the ceiling that resemble fingers—this will indicate that you are nearing your destination. There, you’ll find a small area where, along with more supplies, you’ll finally come across the Katana lodged in one of the bodies.
