100% bloodbath in Dragon Age: The Veilguard
Bloodbath is the twenty-second mission in the narrative of Dragon Age: The Veilguard. It is one of two missions initiated during After the Storm, and completing it is essential for progression. This guide will offer you all the crucial information needed to navigate each segment, along with the usual details on collectibles, side quests, and the choices we’ve made throughout the story.
Begin your journey at Treviso, heading towards the southeast marker to officially kick off the mission. Ascend the ladder and open a chest that holds an Execution Blade before continuing along the path. When you exit through the window, turn left and maneuver around the obstacle. If you observe the facade, you’ll notice a boarded window that you can break through.
From there, cross a beam to reach another chest containing common items. Move forward until you trigger a cutscene.
- Three is not a crowd.
- My favorite is the venatori landscape.
- Lucanis said no – We chose this option.
Once you reach the courtyard, explore the outer edge while skipping the stairs leading to your goal for the moment. To the left of the ladder, there’s a door that opens to a small chest. Scattered barrels can be found, and in the southern corner of the dock, some boards lead to another chest. Additionally, to the right of the stairs, you’ll discover the memory The Resource of Antiva’s Will.
As you ascend the stairs, to the right of the door just before entering, you should spot a marked chest containing a Standard Bearer’s Helm. Now, proceed into the chapel, defeat Zara’s followers, gather items, and follow the marker. Interact with one of the bookshelves to unlock the door that allows you to advance through the building.
You’ll find yourself in some canals. Use the minimap to explore dead-end alleys before moving on. Following game logic, there are likely items or chests hidden, such as one in the first detour containing a Double-Edged Pick.
After clearing a courtyard filled with venatori, enter the chapel… only to face more fanatics. As if any of them were some kind of chosen one meant to end the Dragon Blood. No, wait, that’s from another game, but as a metaphor, it holds. When you reach the next courtyard, you’ll encounter Nonus and Decimus, two elite venatori with tower shields and armor. Ignore the chest for the time being, follow the marker, and open the small chest located at the back of the intersection before turning right.
As you pass through the next door towards the marker, look to your right to find a ladder.
Climb onto the roof from there and make your way to the chest, which contains a Weisshaupt Wall (you’ll find a few minor and small chests along the way). Once you’ve opened the chest, head to the marker where the gathering awaits in an old-fashioned manner. Or maybe the Antivan style.
- Well, this is embarrassing.
- You’ve gotten a bit messy.
- It’s over, Zara – We chose this option.
Your confrontation will be with Zara Renata, who is weak to ice and resistant to fire. This enemy has a troubling tendency to launch rapid-fire ranged attacks. If you manage your parry effectively, you can redirect her projectiles back at her, causing significant trouble.
She can teleport, block your attacks, and summon venatori, along with creating a barrier. Exercise caution when approaching, as her attacks have a slight delay that can disrupt your blocking timing. After defeating her, you’ll witness a cutscene.
- Lucanis needs help.
- It could have gone better.
- What have you done? – We chose this option.
- You can ask for help – We chose this option.
- Everyone has a dark side.
- You can’t ignore Resentment.
Following this, a Decision will arise:
- I never trusted Illario.
- There must be an explanation – We chose this option.
- Are you prepared for the worst?
- How much does Illario know? – This option provides context without pushing the conversation forward.
The mission concludes here.
