2024 Pokémon World Championships date and location revealed
This year’s Pokémon World Championships are set to take place at the Hawaii Convention Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. The announcement was made during the Europe International Championships, showcasing the excitement surrounding this prestigious event.
The Pokémon World Championships gather the finest Pokémon players from around the globe to compete in various formats, including trading card games and popular video games such as Pokémon Go, Pokémon Unite, and Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
The upcoming segment of this year’s tour will focus on the North American leg, scheduled to occur in New Orleans in early June.
The grand finale in Hawaii will occur from August 16th to 18th, where new global champions for each Pokémon game will be crowned.
Additionally, Hawaii presents an excellent opportunity for players to catch the rare regional exclusive Pokémon Go creature, Comfey.
It’s important to note that 2024 will be a unique year for the Pokémon franchise, as there will be no new mainline Pokémon game or expansion released. The next entry, Pokémon Legends: Z-A, is slated to debut in 2025, likely for the upcoming Switch 2 console. Meanwhile, Pokémon Go continues to thrive as a live-service game, approaching its tenth anniversary.
