All compatible amiibos in Zelda Echoes of Wisdom and rewards
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, like many other Nintendo Switch games, features compatible functions with the charming amiibo figures. Players who have amiibo figures at home can scan them during their adventure to receive special rewards, including some that are unique and exclusive.
In this guide, we will show you all the amiibo figures that can be used in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, how to scan them (if you have any doubts), and what rewards they provide.
All Compatible Amiibos and Rewards
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is compatible with a variety of amiibo figures. However, it is important to note that this game only works with amiibo figures related to The Legend of Zelda franchise. This means that amiibo from other Nintendo games (such as Mario, Kirby, Yoshi, etc.) will not work in Echoes of Wisdom and cannot be scanned.
Here is the complete list of compatible amiibo with Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom:
- Any amiibo from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
- Any amiibo from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
- Any amiibo from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
- Any amiibo from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
- Amiibo of Link from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
- Amiibo of Link from The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask
- Amiibo of Link from The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening
- Amiibo of Classic Link (8-bit) from The Legend of Zelda
- Any amiibo from The Legend of Zelda in Super Smash Bros.
Generally speaking, all of these amiibo figures can be used to obtain random rewards in the form of materials and basic resources that help in crafting recipes (such as fresh milk jars, etc.). Occasionally, less frequently, it is possible to receive rarer items when scanning an amiibo.
Exclusive Rewards
It is noteworthy that there are three types of amiibo that can unlock specific outfits for Zelda in this game. These figures are related to Link, Ganondorf, and Zelda.
The first time you scan them after completing the fourth dungeon in the game, you will be guaranteed these outfits:
- Red Garb: obtained by scanning any type of Link amiibo.
- Black Feline Costume: obtained by scanning any type of Ganondorf amiibo.
- Blue Dress: obtained by scanning any type of Zelda amiibo.
After scanning any of these amiibo to obtain the mentioned outfits, you can still scan them as many times as you want, but subsequent scans will reward you with random ingredients like other amiibo.
How to Use Amiibo Figures
To use amiibo figures in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, you first need to progress a bit in the game’s story. You only need to complete the prologue and the following section in Hyrule Castle after meeting with the royal majesty. Once you exit to the world and start crossing Sudelia Beach, as soon as you reach the entrance to Sudelia Village, you will unlock the amiibo function for the rest of your playthrough.
When scanning amiibo figures in your game, follow these steps:
- Press the “+” button on the pause menu.
- In the pause menu, navigate to the “System” tab.
- In this section, you will find an option called “amiibo”.
- Select this option and then bring a compatible amiibo figure close to the NFC area of your controller.
- Once the game recognizes the amiibo correctly, it will display the rewards in front of you.
Keep in mind that in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, there is a limit to the number of amiibo you can scan each day. You are only allowed to scan a maximum of 3 different amiibo within 24 hours. Therefore, if you want to scan more, you will have to wait until the next day.
As an alternative, you can change the internal date and time of your Nintendo Switch console to scan more than three amiibo in a day. In any case, now you know about this small restriction.
