Dragon Ball Sparking!
In Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, players have the thrilling option to summon the legendary dragon Shenron by collecting the seven Dragon Balls. This not only grants a wish but also helps players achieve the trophy/achievement called “Manifest Yourself, Shenron!”. If you’re interested in how to gather these Dragon Balls and which wishes are the most advantageous, read on for all the details.
How to Collect the Seven Dragon Balls to Summon Shenron
To bring Shenron to life in Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, you need to gather the seven Dragon Balls during your gameplay. There are various ways to obtain these balls, which we’ll detail below:
- Rewards from Whis’s Seal Book: You can earn Dragon Balls by completing specific simple tasks associated with Whis, which are marked with the Shenron icon (such as performing 10 ultimate blasts or finishing an additional combat). After completing these objectives, visit the Zen-Oh Orders section to claim your Dragon Balls.
- Rewards from AI Battles: You may randomly receive Dragon Balls by winning 1 vs 1 battles against the AI, irrespective of the map or characters you select.
- Bonus from Deluxe or Ultimate Editions: If you purchased either of these editions, you will receive all seven Dragon Balls for free right from the beginning.
Keep in mind that the Dragon Balls obtained through Whis’s Seal Book and claimed in the Zen-Oh Orders can only be earned once, as those objectives do not reset after completion.
The most efficient method for continuously collecting Dragon Balls is to participate in 1 vs 1 battles against the AI in the “Combat” mode from the main menu. However, the drop rate for Dragon Balls is on the lower side, roughly 10% per battle, which means you can expect to acquire one ball every ten matches. Therefore, it might take around 60 to 70 matches to gather all seven Dragon Balls this way.
Once you’ve collected all seven Dragon Balls using any of these methods, navigate to the main menu option “Manifest Yourself…” and select “Summon Shenron” to call the dragon forth.
Remember, after making a wish, you will lose the Dragon Balls and will need to start collecting them again to summon Shenron once more.
What Wishes Can You Make to Shenron?
Upon summoning Shenron in Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, you’ll be able to choose one wish from the following options:
- I want more zeni: This gives you 300,000 zeni for your account.
- I want you to improve my player level: This provides a random increase to your player level.
- I want more titles: You can select from “King,” “Charming Lover,” or “King of the World.”
- I want new outfits: You can choose outfits for characters like Yamcha, Master Roshi, Goku (Super), or Vegeta (Super).
- I want to complete an episode battle: This option allows you to lower the difficulty of a secondary condition in a story mode battle (note that this choice is not always available, only if you are having trouble with a battle).
When it comes to deciding which wish is the best, it ultimately depends on your personal preference, as there isn’t a universally superior choice. For instance, asking for zeni can be highly beneficial if you plan to use it in the shop to purchase locked characters or items. On the other hand, enhancing your player level could be more helpful if you’re eager to unlock new content quickly.
Regardless, zeni can be gained through battles in any mode, and player levels can also be increased in the same manner, so you might prefer to select other wishes. Ultimately, don’t stress too much—choose the wish that resonates with you the most.
If you’re stuck on an episode battle, it might be more effective to seek out a reliable strategy to easily defeat bosses rather than using a wish for this purpose, as it’s likely better to reserve your wish for something else.
