Everything announced during Pokémon Presents 2024
Happy Pokémon Day 2024! This year’s celebrations have wrapped up with an exciting Pokémon Presents livestream, revealing what fans can expect from the franchise this year and in the future, including the intriguing Pokémon Legends: Z-A.
While no main game was announced for release this year, several significant projects are on the horizon. Here’s a comprehensive overview of everything that was announced during Pokémon Presents for Pokémon Day 2024.
Updates for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
For those still enjoying Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, prepare to face powerful Tera Raid battles featuring Venusaur, Blastoise, and Charizard. The mighty Venusaur will be available starting tomorrow for one week, followed by mighty Blastoise and mighty Charizard in succession.
Pokémon Go x Horizons Anime Event
Details were shared about a collaboration event between Pokémon Go and Pokémon Horizons: The Series. Players will encounter Liko and Roy, the anime’s protagonists, in the AR Go Snapshot, while Generation 9 Pokémon Charcadet, Armarouge, and Ceruledge will be making their Pokémon Go debuts. Additionally, Pikachus dressed as Captain Pikachu from the series, complete with a pilot’s hat and the move Volt Tackle, will be available during this event, which runs from March 5th to March 11th.
Updates for Pokémon Mobile Games
In March, Pokémon Sleep will introduce Raikou, with fellow Generation 2 legendaries Entei and Suicune to follow later.
Pokémon Masters Ex is celebrating its four and a half year anniversary with Pokémon Champion Geeta and her Glimmora. Pokémon Cafe Remix is introducing a new collectible in Gimmighoul coins, and players can also add one of the Generation 9 starters to their café staff. Meanwhile, Pokémon Unite is welcoming Miraidon from Generation 9 into its roster.
Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket
We received a preview of the upcoming Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket, a mobile app version of the Pokémon Trading Card Game, set to release later this year.
Pokémon Legends: Z-A
Lastly, a teaser for the upcoming Pokémon Legends: Z-A was unveiled. This game is set to release simultaneously worldwide in 2025, taking players to the shiny Lumiose City from Pokémon X and Y. There is speculation that it could be a launch title for the next generation of Nintendo consoles.
