Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth’s trophy bug now fixed

Square Enix has rolled out a crucial update for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, addressing the frustrating trophy bug that hindered some players from securing the coveted platinum trophy.

The issue stemmed from the chapter 12 side quest titled “Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop,” which challenges players to achieve a high score in G-Bike. Unfortunately, a bug in the previous patch meant that players could reach the high score but still could not complete the quest, preventing them from earning the trophy.

Square Enix acknowledged this problem and assured players that a fix would be included in the upcoming patch, which has now been implemented.

While the patch notes have only been released in Japanese, they confirm the resolution of the bug. However, players will need to meet the quest’s conditions again to ensure completion.

In addition to fixing the trophy bug, the update addresses several other minor issues. This follows an earlier post-launch patch aimed at improving the game’s blurry performance mode visuals.

For players still on the journey to obtain the platinum trophy, a wealth of guides and tips are available to assist with this endeavor.

For those who have completed the game, the discussion surrounding the controversial ending continues to spark interest and debate among fans.
