How to Activate the Cauldron and Its Formulas

At the start of your journey in Hades 2, the Cauldron at The Crossroads will be inactive until you return for a second visit. After completing your second run, the Cauldron will become available, allowing you to take advantage of its features and access the initial formulas available on your quest.

Formulas operate similarly to recipes, requiring different reactive resources and plants for their creation. These formulas are crucial, providing you with permanent benefits and other advantages as you progress.

Keep in mind that formulas and alchemical recipes unlock progressively as you reach milestones in the game. This can involve defeating particular bosses, acquiring and using new weapons, exploring different areas, and gathering materials. The requirements for unlocking each formula can vary due to the game’s roguelike nature, so it’s wise to challenge yourself and collect all available formulas.
