Topaz is a 5-Star Fire character of The Hunt path introduced in Honkai: Star Rail. She made her debut during version 1.4 and is currently featured in the Sunset Clause Banner as the boosted 5-Star character in version 2.5. Topaz is expected to return in future banners as the schedule cycles back to her.

Whether you already have Topaz or are preparing to obtain her, this guide will provide you with essential information on her Ascension materials and Trace materials, enabling you to maximize her and her companion Numby’s potential right from the start. We will also explore Topaz’s kit and Eidolons.

Topaz’s Kit

Topaz is a 5-Star Fire character of The Hunt path, designed to excel against single enemies with fire weaknesses. She shines when paired with allies who can execute follow-up attacks, enhancing their effectiveness significantly.

Here’s a breakdown of Topaz’s kit:

  • Element: Fire.
  • Path: The Hunt.
  • Rarity: 5-Star.
  • Basic Attack: Deficit – Deals Fire damage equal to 50% of Topaz’s attack to a single enemy.
  • Skill: Difficulty Paying? – Inflicts a single enemy with the ‘Proof of Debt’ state, increasing damage received from follow-up attacks by 25%. If no enemies are afflicted when an ally acts, Topaz will randomly inflict another enemy with Proof of Debt. Numby will deal Fire damage equal to 75% of Topaz’s attack to this enemy; using this skill counts as a follow-up attack.
  • Ultimate: Turn a Profit! – Numby enters the ‘Windfall Bonanza!’ state, increasing its damage multiplier by 75% and Crit Damage by 12.5%. When enemies with Proof of Debt are attacked by allies, Numby’s action is advanced by 50%. The Windfall Bonanza! state lasts until Numby completes two attacks.
  • Talent (passive ability): Trotter Market!? – Numby is summoned at the battle’s start, attacking enemies afflicted with Proof of Debt for Fire damage equal to 75% of Topaz’s attack. Numby’s action is advanced by 50% when allies attack enemies with Proof of Debt. If Topaz is downed, Numby also disappears.
  • Technique (overworld ability): Explicit Subsidy – Summons Numby in the overworld to search for basic Treasures and Trotters. Topaz regenerates 60 Energy after Numby’s first attack in the next battle and gains a small amount of credits upon defeating enemies with her in the team.
  • Bonus Trace 1: Overdraft – Topaz’s Basic attacks are considered follow-up attacks.
  • Bonus Trace 2: Financial Turmoil – Boosts damage dealt to enemies with Fire weakness by 15%.
  • Bonus Trace 3: Technical Adjustment – After Numby attacks in Windfall Bonanza! state, Topaz regenerates 10 additional Energy.
