How to get Charcadet and evolutions Armarouge and Ceruledge in Pokémon Go

Charcadet, along with its evolutions Armarouge and Ceruledge, made its debut in Pokémon Go during the World of Wonders season. These Pokémon are part of Gen 9 from the Paldea region and were introduced during the Pokémon Horizons: The Series Celebration Event in March 2024. Evolving Charcadet into either Armarouge or Ceruledge requires fulfilling specific requirements, which differ based on the desired evolution.

In this article, you will learn how to acquire Charcadet in Pokémon Go and explore the shiny variants of Charcadet, Armarouge, and Ceruledge.

How to get Charcadet in Pokémon Go

Charcadet made its first appearance during the Pokémon Horizons: The Series Celebration Event in March 2024. Here’s how you can obtain Charcadet during this event:

  • Hatch 2km, 5km, and 10km eggs collected before the event ends.

It’s important to note that other Pokémon can still be hatched from these eggs, so even if you hatch an egg collected during the event, it may not result in Charcadet. Therefore, it’s advisable to focus on hatching 2km eggs, as they require the shortest walking distance, increasing your chances of obtaining Charcadet.

If you have extra Incubators, now is the time to use them. Super Incubators can reduce an egg’s hatch distance, but they do cost more than regular Incubators. Keep in mind that all additional Incubators only last for three uses.

At the end of the event, Charcadet will enter the 10km egg pool. After this, it will no longer be available through 2km and 5km egg hatching. It is recommended to try to hatch at least two Charcadets during the event due to its multiple evolutions.

How to evolve Charcadet into Armarouge in Pokémon Go

To evolve Charcadet into Armarouge, you need 50 Charcadet Candy and you must defeat 30 Psychic-type Pokémon while Charcadet is your buddy Pokémon. You do not need to defeat these Pokémon using Charcadet; it merely needs to be your buddy.

You can accumulate these victories in various ways, including battles against friends, raids, the Go Battle League, or Team Go Rocket battles. If you are aiming for these victories through raids, you will need to wait for a Psychic-type Pokémon to be included in the raid pool.

Alternatively, you can battle Team Go Rocket Grunts who use Psychic-type Pokémon. If you fully defeat these grunts each time, you will need to defeat ten of them to evolve Charcadet into Armarouge. Look for grunts with the tagline ‘Are you scared of psychic powers that use unseen power?’ as they will always have a team consisting of Psychic-type Pokémon.

Keep in mind, you do not have to defeat these Pokémon with Charcadet; it simply needs to be your buddy. You can track your progress by visiting Charcadet’s page in your Pokémon storage.

How to evolve Charcadet into Ceruledge in Pokémon Go

To evolve Charcadet into Ceruledge, you will need 50 Charcadet Candy and must defeat 30 Ghost-type Pokémon while Charcadet is your buddy Pokémon. As with the previous evolution, Charcadet does not have to defeat these Pokémon; it just needs to be your buddy.

You can achieve this by battling in the Go Battle League, Team Rocket battles, raids, or challenges with friends. It is often most efficient to battle Team Go Rocket Grunts who use Ghost-type Pokémon. These grunts can be found at invaded PokéStops or in Rocket balloons, and they typically use the tagline ‘Ke…ke…ke…ke…ke…ke!’. Finding these specific grunts may take time, but defeating ten of them should suffice for your Ceruledge evolution.

Similar to the previous evolution, you do not have to defeat 30 Ghost-type Pokémon with Charcadet; it simply needs to be your buddy. You can monitor how many Ghost-types you’ve defeated on Charcadet’s page in your Pokémon storage.
