How to get Night Jade in Genshin Impact
In Genshin Impact, obtaining the Night Jade item is essential for accessing the Chamber of Night’s Trial and undertaking its combat challenges. However, collecting the Night Jade can be a lengthy process, as it requires completing several World Quests to acquire the final piece known as Shattered Night Jade.
After using the Night Jade, players must also complete a combat challenge within the Chamber of Night’s Trial to unlock chests and claim rewards. This challenge is comparable to the Spiral Abyss difficulty, so it’s advisable to prepare a strong AOE (area of effect) team beforehand.
How to Acquire Night Jade in Genshin Impact
To obtain the complete Night Jade item, players must find three Shattered Night Jades. Once all three pieces are collected, they will automatically combine in your inventory into the full Night Jade.
The three Shattered Night Jades can be obtained by completing the following quests:
1. Complete the ‘Too the Night, What is the Night’ World Quest
This quest is the starting point for your journey to collect the Night Jade. Completing it is essential for unlocking further quests and areas.
2. Finish the ‘Between Pledge and Forgettance’ World Quest chain
This quest chain includes multiple sub-quests, and it culminates in obtaining one of the Shattered Night Jades.
3. Unlock the luxurious chest at the end of the Phlogiston Extraction Research Center puzzle
This chest rewards players with another Shattered Night Jade, but accessing it requires solving the puzzle in the research center.
Shattered Night Jade Locations
Shattered Night Jade Location 1
The first Shattered Night Jade is found in the Phlogiston Extraction Research Center, located in the southeastern underground part of Natlan. The easiest way to access it is by fast traveling to the ‘Blazing Ruins’ Domain and heading southeast underground. Look for unconscious Saurians along the path to ensure you’re on the right track.
To obtain the Shattered Night Jade, solve the puzzle in the Phlogiston Research Center. You’ll need to inhabit various Saurians to gather two energy balls necessary to disable the central machine.
Shattered Night Jade Location 2
The second Shattered Night Jade can be found in the Ancestral Temple. To enter, you must locate three Courier’s Trial Keystones outside the temple and interact with the mechanism to activate the ‘Too the Night, What is the Night’ World Quest.
After completing this World Quest, you will receive the Shattered Night Jade piece. Fortunately, this quest is relatively straightforward compared to the last location.
Shattered Night Jade Location 3
The third and final Shattered Night Jade is hidden within a precious chest, which can only be opened after completing the entire ‘Between Pledge and Forgettance’ World Quest chain. This entails finishing the ‘Lost in the Woods’, ‘Rite of the Bold’, and ‘Revelations from the Past’ quests.
To unlock ‘Rite of the Bold’, you must first complete the ‘Tales of Dreams Plucked From Fire’ and ‘Shadows of the Mountains’ World Quests, both of which have additional sub-quests. If you encounter issues with unlocking any of these quests, consider waiting two in-game days and ensure you’ve completed the first two acts of Natlan’s Archon Quest.
Using Night Jade in Genshin Impact
Once you have collected all three Shattered Night Jade pieces and formed the full Night Jade, fast travel to the southern side of the Stadium of the Sacred Flame. Glide down to the small island southeast of the stadium, characterized by its black totems.
To access the Chamber of Night’s Trial, use the Night Jade on these black totems. Once in the chamber, you can interact with the Nightsoul Spirit kitty and attempt to pass their challenge to unlock the chests within.
This challenge is akin to Spiral Abyss-level encounters, requiring players to defeat eight tough enemies within a 60-second timeframe. It’s highly recommended to assemble a team with strong AOE capabilities and include a character with crowd control skills. Bringing a healer or a shielder can also be beneficial, as avoiding damage from multiple enemies can be quite challenging.
Good luck tackling this formidable challenge!
