How to get the rat king crown in CoD Black Ops 6 Zombies

In Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies, one of the thrilling easter eggs centers around the Rat King crown. This guide outlines the steps needed to acquire this elusive crown, which offers both visual appeal and practical advantages. Here’s how to begin.

Activating the Rat King Easter Egg

The first step to completing the Rat King easter egg is to secure a piece of cheese. This cheese can be found early in the game, particularly in the town square area. Look for a shop window showcasing various cheeses, including the red cheese you require.

To obtain the cheese, you’ll need to break the glass of the display case. Approach the window and execute a melee attack to shatter the glass, allowing you to grab the cheese piece. Once you have the cheese, you can proceed to the next phase.

Finding the Rats

The next part of this quest involves locating a total of 10 rats scattered throughout the map. There’s no need to shoot or harm these rats; your objective is to interact with them. As you approach each rat, crouch down and observe them closely until they scurry away.

Locations of the Rats

The rats are positioned in fixed locations, and you can find them in any order. Here are their specific spots:

Rat #1

  • Location: Head down the street to the right of the shop where you found the cheese. This rat is beside a van and some cones.

Rat #2

  • Location: In the town square, across from the cheese shop, look under a flower pot to find this rat.

Rat #3

  • Location: On the hilltop path where the Daiquiri perks are located, you’ll find this rat next to a circular stone base.

Rat #4

  • Location: Near the stairs of the platform with the cannon, there’s a broken step where this rat is located.

Rat #5

  • Location: In the main courtyard of the refectory, look under a pallet next to some boxes by the knight statue.

Rat #6

  • Location: Inside the alchemy lab, you can find this rat under a table behind a stone slab with symbols.

Rat #7

  • Location: In the area with the Juggernog machine, check the nearby hallway under a wooden chair for this rat.

Rat #8

  • Location: In the crypt room, look for this rat on a wall with a hole.

Rat #9

  • Location: In the dungeon area, check the cell to the right of the Quick Revive machine for this rat.

Rat #10

  • Location: In the living room, find this rat beneath a bench next to some bunks, just to the left of the Energizing machine.

Completing the Easter Egg

After you’ve gathered all ten rats, it’s time to finish the easter egg. Head to the dungeon area where the Pack-a-Punch machine is located. You’ll see a plate on the ground surrounded by the rats you’ve collected. Approach this plate and interact with it to place the cheese you found earlier.

Once you place the cheese, the rats will quickly gather around it, consuming it and leaving behind various random rewards. Among these rewards, you can expect:

  • Ammo mods, perks, tactical equipment, ether crystals, essence, and even high-rarity weapons.
  • A golden crown, which is a unique cosmetic item that can be equipped on your character.
  • It’s important to note that the golden crown can only be obtained if you found all 10 rats throughout the map.

While you can give the cheese to the rats without collecting them all, the quality and quantity of the rewards will diminish based on how many rats you’ve managed to locate. Therefore, it’s highly recommended to gather all the rats before offering the cheese.

The golden crown primarily serves as a cosmetic enhancement for your character, but the rewards from this easter egg are generous enough to make the effort worthwhile. Happy hunting!
