How to get Varoom and Revavroom in Pokémon Go

Varoom and its evolution, Revavroom, made their debut in Gen 9 Pokémon during the Season of Timeless Travels. These Pokémon, inspired by engines, were released during the Taken Treasures event in January 2024. While some may appreciate their unique design, others find them less appealing, ranking them alongside other controversial Pokémon like Binacle.

This guide will provide you with information on how to get Varoom in Pokémon Go and how to evolve Varoom into Revavroom.

How to get Varoom in Pokémon Go

Varoom made its first appearance in Pokémon Go on January 27, and it can only be obtained by hatching 12km eggs. To get a Varoom, you must defeat one of the Team Rocket Leaders to earn a 12km egg, which you will need to hatch by walking the required distance.

You can reduce the hatch distance by using a Super Incubator or by hatching the egg during events that offer reduced hatch distance bonuses, such as Community Day events. However, be aware that there is no guarantee that the 12km egg will contain a Varoom, as it can contain other Pokémon from the egg pool. This means you may need to defeat Team Rocket Leaders multiple times to obtain a Varoom or trade with another player.

The Max Out Season is here! You can now catch Dynamax Pokémon through Max Battles. First, you need to visit Power Spots to collect Max Particles and complete the To the Max! quest. Don’t forget to explore Routes, Gift Exchange, and Party Play challenges while hunting for rare Pokémon, battling in the Go Battle League, or participating in PokéStop Showcases.

How to evolve Varoom into Revavroom in Pokémon Go

To evolve Varoom into Revavroom, you first need to collect 50 Varoom Candy. Since Varoom cannot be found in the wild, your options for gathering additional candy are somewhat limited. You can use Rare Candy, hatch more Varoom from 12km eggs, or have Varoom as your buddy, earning candy passively as you explore.

It is advisable to save your Rare Candy for rarer Pokémon than Varoom, such as Larvesta. This means that if you do not hatch additional Varoom, collecting enough candy may require significant walking. However, this approach will help you save your Rare Candy for more valuable Pokémon.

Good luck hatching Varoom in Pokémon Go!
