How to raise Party Level in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
To quickly increase your Party Level in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, enabling you to unlock some of your team’s most powerful skills and tackle tougher challenges more effectively, it’s essential to understand the various methods available for earning Party Level XP. While there are several ways to gain this experience, not all methods are equally efficient or advisable.
What is Party Level in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth?
Your Party Level is distinct from individual character levels and increases only through the accumulation of Party XP. Unlike regular experience points, which are obtained through battles and boss encounters, Party XP is earned by completing specific tasks throughout the open world.
Increasing your Party Level allows you to unlock new Folios for each character. Folios are where you can spend SP to acquire new skills, including Synergy Skills, Synergy Abilities, and beneficial magic attacks that do not consume MP. These abilities become particularly important when facing bosses with specific elemental weaknesses and limited access to magic and MP restoratives.
As you reach new Party Levels, character folios unlock simultaneously. You can reset a character’s skills at any time without incurring any costs, so feel free to experiment with different abilities to find what best suits your playstyle.
How to raise your Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth party level
Party XP is primarily obtained from a limited number of tasks, most of which are found in the open world of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Given the utility of certain folio abilities and the escalating difficulty of battles, it is beneficial to invest time in completing these activities to enhance your skills and make combat more manageable.
Complete World Intel tasks
Chadley’s World Intel requests grant you 5 Party XP each, and there is no shortage of tasks that the Shinra android will ask you to complete outside of Midgar. However, some World Intel tasks may be more trouble than they are worth for Party XP accumulation. For instance, while Protorelic quests can be time-consuming, it’s advisable to prioritize Lifesprings, combat intel, and excavation intel for more efficient XP gains.
Activate Remnawave Towers
While activating Remnawave Towers falls under the World Intel category, this activity is significant enough to highlight separately. In addition to earning 5 Party XP, activating these towers reveals other nearby World Intel points of interest on your map. This allows for efficient navigation to activities that can be completed quickly, enabling you to maximize your time spent gathering Party XP.
Take on side quests
Completing various side quests will also reward you with a small amount of Party XP. Although these quests may take longer to finish compared to Chadley’s requests, they are worth the effort. Side quests often lead you to new areas of the map, including Chocobo Stops for fast travel, or introduce you to important NPCs.
Additionally, engaging in side quests can help develop relationships between Cloud and other party members, yielding useful buffs in battle and increasing the likelihood of characters wanting to spend time with Cloud in social settings.
Progress in the main story
Completing major milestones in the main story will grant you 10 Party XP, making it the most lucrative source of Party XP. However, story milestones are limited and may take considerable time to reach, so relying solely on this method is not advisable if you want to raise your Party Level effectively.
By utilizing these strategies, you can efficiently increase your Party Level in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and enhance your gameplay experience.
