Requirements for Activating Master Ball Research

To unlock and activate the Master Ball Research in your account, you must meet the following requirement:

• You can only receive this research by purchasing a ticket for $9.99 in the game store.
• This ticket is tied to the Galar Expedition event, making it available for purchase from October 4 to October 11 at 8:00 PM local time.

If you meet this requirement and buy a ticket for the mission, you will soon receive a notification from Professor Willow. This will automatically activate the Master Ball Research in your journal, allowing you to complete it at your own pace. There is no time limit for completing the tasks once you have purchased the ticket.

Tasks and Rewards of Master Ball Research

• Final Reward: Receive one Master Ball.

Below, you can find the tasks and rewards associated with the Master Ball Research. This mission consists of a total of four phases, each with its own set of challenges:

Phase 1 of 4

• Catch 250 Pokémon: Earn 20 Poké Balls.
• Use 150 berries to help catch Pokémon: Earn 15 Frambu Berries.
• Make 100 great curveball throws: Earn 2500 Stardust.

Phase Rewards: 2500 XP and encounter with Galarian Stunfisk.

Phase 2 of 4

• Catch 300 Pokémon: Earn 25 Poké Balls.
• Hit 100 great curveball throws: Earn 15 Pinap Berries.
• Transfer 50 Pokémon: Earn 20 Great Balls.

Phase Rewards: 3500 XP and encounter with Galarian Farfetch’d.

Phase 3 of 4

• Catch 350 Pokémon: Earn 20 Great Balls.
• Defeat 25 Team GO Rocket members: Earn 5 Charged TM.
• Catch 75 different species of Pokémon: Earn 15 Revives.

Phase Rewards: 4500 XP and encounter with Galarian Weezing.

Phase 4 of 4

• Visit PokéStops on 7 different days: Earn 2500 XP.
• Catch a Pokémon on 7 different days: Earn 2500 Stardust.
• Hatch 20 Eggs: Encounter with Galarian Mr. Mime.
• Catch 75 Pokémon in one day: Earn 20 Ultra Balls.
• Make 50 excellent throws: Earn 20 Max Revives.
• Catch 500 Pokémon: Earn 3 Silver Pinap Berries.

Phase Rewards: 5000 XP, 5000 Stardust, and 1 Master Ball.
