Nidoran Female 100% perfect IV stats, shiny Nidoran Female in Pokémon Go
This week’s Spotlight Hour features the Poison Pin Pokémon, presenting an excellent opportunity to catch a shiny Nidoran Female in Pokémon Go. While Nidoran and Nidorina may not shine in raid battles, their final evolution, Nidoqueen, holds significant potential for the Go Battle League.
The main goal during this week’s Spotlight Hour is to catch as many Nidoran as possible. This is not only for the chance to hunt for a shiny variant but also to take advantage of the double catch Stardust bonus accompanying the event.
Given that this Pokémon is relevant in the Go Battle League, finding a perfect one involves more than just looking for a four-star monster; it hinges on your competitive needs.
Nidoran Female 100% Perfect IV Stats in Pokémon Go
This week’s Spotlight Hour is an ideal time to find a female Nidoran with perfect IVs.
‘Perfect’ in Pokémon Go refers to the maxed out, 100% IV version, which is the 15/15/15 you’re aiming for in your Pokédex, raids, and Master League. However, due to how CP is calculated using three stats, a perfect IV Pokémon is generally best in the Master League only.
For instance, a perfect Nidoqueen in the Great League has a maximum CP of 1492 at Level 21, while a perfect Go Battle League IV Nidoqueen (0/15/12) can reach 1499 at Level 23. In a direct matchup, the higher-level Pokémon will typically prevail.
Though you cannot see a Pokémon’s IV until you catch it, prior research can help you identify potential candidates based on their CP.
If you are Level 30 or above, here are the CPs to look for a perfect 15/15/15 Nidoran Female:
- Level 30 (wild CP maximum) – 699 CP
- Level 35 (weather-boosted wild CP maximum) – 757 CP
These wild CP values correlate with your Trainer Level until Level 30, which simplifies the values for the majority of players currently above this level.
Is Nidoqueen Good in PVP?
Nidoqueen is a solid choice in the Great League. While it may not be the top Poison-type attacker anymore, it remains a viable option with moves like Poison Jab, Poison Fang, and Earth Power as a second charged move.
This Pokémon is versatile and applies significant shield pressure, making it a good fit in a meta featuring Azumarill and Medicham, which it effectively counters, along with other lesser-seen Pokémon like Charjabug, Serperior, and Lanturn.
For a ‘perfect Go Battle League IV’ Nidoqueen, aim for a 0/15/12 Nidoqueen.
In the Ultra League, the optimal IVs shift to 0/14/15, allowing Nidoqueen to secure victories against Pokémon like Cobalion, Virizion, and Registeel. However, it struggles against Swampert, Cresselia, and Talonflame in this league.
In the Master League, Nidoqueen falls short and isn’t recommended for competitive play.
Is There a Shiny Nidoran Female in Pokémon Go?
Yes, there is a shiny Nidoran Female available in Pokémon Go!
The shiny variant was introduced during the Female Day event in October 2018. If you’re lucky enough to catch one, you can evolve it into a shiny Nidorina and eventually to shiny Nidoqueen.
While shiny Nidoran Female can appear in the wild, keep in mind that this is not a Community Day event, meaning shiny rates are not boosted. Therefore, the likelihood of catching one, especially a perfect IV variant, is relatively low. However, every Nidoran you encounter has the potential to be shiny, so it’s essential to catch as many as possible.
What Does Shiny Nidoran Female Look Like?
Shiny Nidoran Female sports a beautiful pink hue, resembling its male counterpart, which is blue in its shiny form.
Other Reasons to Catch as Many Nidoran Female as Possible
In addition to the shiny hunt, there are several reasons to participate in this week’s Spotlight Hour:
- The primary incentive is the double catch Stardust bonus throughout the hour. Nidoran Female yields a base rate of 100 Stardust per catch, which doubles to 200 during this event.
- If the weather in Pokémon Go is favorable, specifically Cloudy, you can earn an additional 50 Stardust.
- Combining these bonuses with a Star Piece can further increase your Stardust gains by 1.5 times.
- This Spotlight Hour is also an excellent opportunity for newcomers to gather enough Nidoran Female Candy to evolve into Nidorina and Nidoqueen.
- Catching Nidoran Female contributes to your respective catch bonus medal.
Spotlight Hour events last for one hour, from 6 PM to 7 PM local time. Don’t miss next week’s event featuring Vulpix, Poliwag, Snorunt, and Hippopotas, all offering double catch XP!
Good luck in your quest to find a perfect Nidoran Female!
