Ororon in Genshin Impact: How to get it and skills

Ororon is a character you can play in Genshin Impact, and understanding his abilities is key to building a strong team. This guide will cover how to acquire Ororon, his attributes, and his special skills, enabling you to unlock his full potential and create an effective team.

How to Acquire Ororon in Genshin Impact

Ororon can be obtained through the Wishes in the Gachapon Store, where you can spend Destinies or Primogems earned during your gameplay.

As a four-star character, Ororon has a decent chance of being acquired through this method, whether from permanent Wishes, event Wishes, or limited-time banners.

He will first be accessible in Genshin Impact via two active Gachapon banners during the initial release of version 5.2 of the game. These banners are named “Crimson Shot” and “Between Lights and Shadows,” launching on November 20, 2024.

Talents and Constellation of Ororon

Next, we will highlight Ororon’s unique combat abilities.

Talents

These encompass Ororon’s attacks, talents, and elemental skills. Remember, these talents unlock as you enhance the character, increasing his power.

  • Normal Attack: Spirit Arrow:
    • Normal Attack: Fires up to 3 consecutive shots with the bow.
    • Charged Attack: Executes a Precise Shot that inflicts increased damage and improves accuracy. When aimed, the arrow gains the Electro element, delivering considerable Electro damage when fully charged.
    • Plunging Attack: Releases a barrage of arrows from the air while descending quickly, dealing area damage upon impact.
  • Night’s Embrace: Ororon uses an ancient technique from the Nocturnal Augurs to create a dark spiritual orb that targets enemies, dealing Electro damage. If multiple foes are nearby, the orb will bounce between them, inflicting damage on each. Each enemy can only be impacted once per use. The orb vanishes after three bounces or if there are no targets left.
  • Special Jump: While in Natlan, holding the jump button consumes Flammability, allowing a meteoric double jump. If Flammability is low, it will instead draw from Stamina for the jump.
  • Echo of Darkness: Ororon carries out an ancient ritual to deal area Electro damage and summons a sonic spiritual eye that distracts nearby enemies, drawing their attacks. The eye emits sonic waves that cause Electro damage to nearby foes.
  • Skin Changer: Boosts the Flight Speed of teammates by 15%. This effect does not stack with similar passive talents.
  • Grace of the Night: Shadow Jump: When in a Flammability zone from Natlan, it enables Nocturnal Transmission: Ororon. While in the air, switching to Ororon allows for a high jump, reusable every 10 seconds. Additionally, holding the attack button while aiming consumes Stamina or Flammability for further interaction with mystical markings.
  • Nocturnal Synesthesia: When a teammate triggers a Nocturnal explosion, Ororon gains 40 points of Nocturnality. For 15 seconds after using his elemental skill, if another teammate strikes an enemy with Hydro or Electro, Ororon gains extra Nocturnality points. He can hold a maximum of 80 points, which can be spent to activate the “Nocturnal Blessing” effect, dealing substantial Electro damage to nearby enemies.
  • Manifest Presence: After striking an enemy with the orb from his Elemental Skill, “Night’s Embrace,” Ororon receives the “Presence Seal” effect for 15 seconds. When a nearby character hits an enemy with a Normal, Charged, or Plunging Attack, that character recovers energy. This effect can activate multiple times, but only once per second.

Constellation

Here are the six levels of Ororon’s Constellation and his passive skills (you need the Stella Fortuna item to upgrade each level):

  • Footprints in the Misty Forest: The spiritual orb from “Night’s Embrace” can bounce two more times. Upon hitting an enemy, it applies the “Gloom” effect for 12 seconds, increasing damage taken from the “Nocturnal Perception” effect.
  • Bee King: After using “Echo of Darkness,” Ororon gains the “Spiritual Perception” effect for 9 seconds, granting an 8% Electro Damage Bonus, which increases with the number of additional enemies hit.
  • Bat Cage: Raises the skill level of “Echo of Darkness” by 3, up to a maximum of 15.
  • Misty Nocturne: Enhances the rotation speed of the sonic spiritual eye from “Echo of Darkness” by 25%. Additionally, Ororon regains energy after using this skill.
  • Gift of the Soul: Increases the skill level of “Night’s Embrace” by 3, also capping at level 15.
  • Praise of the Springs: After triggering “Nocturnal Perception,” the active character’s attack rises by 10% for 9 seconds. This effect can stack three times and is calculated independently. Furthermore, using the Ultimate Skill triggers a one-time effect similar to Nocturnal Perception, dealing significant damage.
