Path of Exile 2: How to easily trade with players and sell items online
Path of Exile 2 is an action RPG that highlights multiplayer interactions, making it crucial to trade with other players. This guide will help you navigate the trading process efficiently and sell your items online with ease.
Trading with Players
In Path of Exile 2, trading is available to all players from the beginning. There’s no need to reach a certain character level; both players simply need to be in a “safe zone,” such as a camp, city, or village free from monsters.
To start a trade, follow these steps:
- Approach the other player’s character in the game.
- Select the player to open the quick actions menu.
- Look for the option labeled “Trade” in this menu.
- Select this option to send a trade request to the other player.
- The other player will then have the choice to accept or decline your request.
It’s essential to know that the other player does not need to be a friend or in your group to send a trade request. Level differences between players don’t affect the trade; it can proceed as long as both agree.
If the trade is accepted, you can drag the item you want to offer from your inventory into the offer slot. The other player will do the same with one of their items. You can negotiate through private messages if necessary, and to complete the trade, just click the accept button to confirm the deal.
Trading Online through the Community Website
Besides in-game trading, you can also trade items online via the official Path of Exile community website. This site acts as a large auction house, akin to those in many MMORPGs.
To trade online, follow these steps:
- Log in using your Path of Exile account details.
- Once logged in, you can search for items you’re interested in, like weapons or armor.
- Use various filters to refine your search results.
- Ensure to look for items relevant to the same league as your character.
- If you find an item you want to buy, whisper the seller directly to negotiate.
Usually, once you reach an agreement with another player, they will invite you to join their party in-game, allowing you to trade the item directly.
How to Sell Items Online
If you want to sell your items online, you first need to unlock premium stash tabs in your game. This is necessary for listing items publicly on the online marketplace.
- Premium stash tabs can be purchased in the microtransaction store using points.
- You can upgrade a basic stash tab to a premium one for 15 points or buy new premium tabs for 40 points each.
- Once you have a premium stash tab, right-click it to open the customization menu.
- Enable the “Public” option for the tab.
- With the tab set to public, any items placed in it will automatically be listed for sale on the online marketplace, visible to all players.
You can set individual prices for each item or mark them as negotiable. When another player shows interest in your items, they will reach out to you via whispers, allowing you to invite them to your game for the trade.
The Path of Exile marketplace is constantly changing, so keep an eye on it to identify which items are in demand and optimize your trading strategy. You now have all the necessary information to enhance your trading experience in Path of Exile 2.
