The 8th Anniversary Party is here to celebrate Pokémon Go‘s eighth birthday! This exciting event features a variety of quests, rewards, and new costume Pokémon, including Party Hat Grimer and Muk, alongside the much-anticipated return of shiny Meltan.

During the anniversary celebration, players can complete the 8th Anniversary Party quest steps and event-exclusive research tasks to earn a variety of rewards. Additionally, there are several 8th Anniversary Party bonuses that change depending on the day, making it essential to stay updated on which Pokémon will be appearing more frequently in the wild.

The 8th Anniversary Party Timed Research quest will be available for players to complete. Ensure you finish it before the deadline to avoid missing out on the rewards.

The 8th Anniversary Party is packed with bonuses, including special perks that change on specific days. Here are the main bonuses available throughout the event:

The first three bonuses revolve around enhancing your connection with friends in Pokémon Go. Players will experience faster Friendship level increases from activities like opening gifts and trading Pokémon. Additionally, there is an increased chance of becoming Lucky Friends with other trainers.

The fourth continuous bonus grants players the opportunity to earn 8, 88, or even more Gimmighoul Coins when spinning a PokéStop that has a Golden Lure Module placed on it.

Rotating Bonuses

  • From Friday to Saturday: Hatch distance will be halved for eggs in Incubators.
  • From Sunday to Monday: Double catch XP.
  • From Tuesday to the end of the event: Double catch Stardust.

In addition to these bonuses, players can purchase a Masterworks Research quest called Whispers in the Woods for $5, which offers the chance to catch a shiny Celebi. Players must ensure they unlock it by playing Pokémon Go after the purchase.
