Pokémon Go Glitz and Glam quest steps and rewards for Diancie

The Glitz and Glam special research in Pokémon Go invites players to catch the mythical Pokémon Diancie for free! Players who already possess Diancie will instead receive Diancie Candy upon completion.

Following the tradition of past events, the global release of Diancie as part of this research quest comes after its initial debut during a Go Fest event. Similar releases have occurred for other mythical Pokémon, allowing players to access them through special research quests.

Originally introduced during Go Fest 2024, Diancie is now accessible to all players through the Glitz and Glam quest steps and rewards.

‘Glitz and Glam’ Quest Steps and Rewards

Below are the steps to complete the Glitz and Glam quest, culminating in the chance to catch Diancie. This special research can be completed at your own pace.

However, note that players who have previously caught Diancie through Go Fest 2023 quests will not be able to catch another. Instead, they will receive additional Diancie Candy.

‘Glitz and Glam’ Step 1 of 6

• Spin 5 PokéStops or Gyms – Reward: 5 Poké Balls
• Power up Pokémon 10 times – Reward: Nosepass encounter
• Catch 20 Pokémon – Reward: 3 Pinap Berries

Rewards: 2000 XP, 1 Lure Module, and a Roggenrola encounter.

• Complete 5 Field Research tasks – Reward: Spritzee encounter
• Power up Pokémon 20 times – Reward: 3 Pinap Berries
• Use 20 Berries to help catch Pokémon – Reward: Swirlix encounter

Rewards: 2000 XP, 1 Incense, and a Sableye encounter.

• Use an Incense – Reward: 15 Poké Balls
• Power up Pokémon 20 times – Reward: Onix encounter
• Catch 15 different species of Pokémon – Reward: 3 Pinap Berries

Rewards: 2000 XP, 1 Lucky Egg, and a Carbink encounter.

• Complete 5 Field Research tasks – Reward: 10 Poké Balls
• Power up Pokémon 25 times – Reward: 10 Great Balls
• Catch 30 Pokémon – Reward: 10 Ultra Balls

Rewards: 2000 XP, 2000 Stardust, and either a Diancie encounter or 25 Diancie Candy for those who already own Diancie.

• Evolve 5 Pokémon – Reward: 1 Rare Candy
• Power up 15 Fairy-type Pokémon – Reward: 1 Rare Candy
• Power up 15 Rock-type Pokémon – Reward: 1 Rare Candy

Rewards: 2000 XP, 3 Golden Razz Berries, and 300 Mega Diancie Energy.

Rewards: 2000 XP, 25 Diancie Stickers, and 100 Mega Diancie Energy.

The Max Out Season is currently active, introducing Dynamax Pokémon through Max Battles. Players need to visit Power Spots to collect Max Particles and complete the To the Max! quest. Don’t forget to explore Routes, participate in Gift Exchange, and enjoy Party Play challenges while hunting for rare Pokémon, battling in the Go Battle League, or entering PokéStop Showcases.

How Diancie First Debuted in Pokémon Go

Diancie made its debut in Pokémon Go during Go Fest 2023, initially available to players attending events in specific cities. Following the in-person events, it became available globally during the Go Fest 2023 Global event.

During these occasions, capturing Diancie was part of a pay-to-play model. Players who purchased tickets for the event could catch Diancie after completing a specific quest step. For those who already caught Diancie, additional Candy would be granted instead of another encounter.

Mega Diancie was also introduced alongside Diancie, appearing in Mega Raids during both the in-person and global Go Fest events. Players could earn Mega Diancie Energy through specific field research tasks and by catching Carbink.

Nearly a year later, following the pattern of other mythical Pokémon, Diancie is now freely available to all players through the Glitz and Glam special research quest.
