Pokémon Go Max Out hemisphere Pokémon, seasonal spawns and end date

Max Out, the sixteenth season of Pokémon Go, introduces exciting new features, including the debut of Dynamax Pokémon and an influx of Gen 8 Pokémon into the game!

During the Season of Max Out, players can catch popular Pokémon like Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble as Gen 8 takes over Pokémon Go. Pay attention to the new Power Spot locations to engage in battles against Dynamax Pokémon, and don’t forget about the fresh Special Research quests available for players.

As with previous seasons, Max Out brings changes to the egg pools, seasonal spawns, and the distribution of Pokémon appearing in the northern and southern hemispheres.

End Date of Pokémon Go Max Out Season

The Max Out season kicked off on September 3rd at 10 AM (local time) and will wrap up on December 3rd at 10 AM (local time). During this time, Season 20 of the Go Battle League will also take place, featuring three leagues and a variety of special cups.

This season’s start date marks a shift from the usual first-of-the-month launch, likely due to September 1st falling on a Sunday this year. Players should keep this in mind when planning their in-game activities!

Max Out Bonuses in Pokémon Go

The bonuses for the Max Out season include several XP-related benefits. Players will earn increased XP for maintaining seven-day PokéStop spin and Pokémon catch streaks, as well as for leveling up their Friendship Level with other players. This is particularly advantageous for those on the verge of reaching the Best Friend level.

In addition, two trading bonuses are available: everyone will receive an extra candy from trading Pokémon, while trainers at Level 31 or higher will gain one guaranteed Candy XL for each trade.

From September 3rd to December 3rd, players can earn Pokémon like Galarian Weezing, Galarian Mr. Mime, Excadrill, Scraggy, Furfrou, and Jangmo-o through Research Breakthroughs.

Max Out Roadmap in Pokémon Go

The major highlight of Max Out is the introduction of Dynamax Pokémon, set to launch on September 10th at 10 AM (local time). Players will encounter Power Spots on the map, where they can engage in Max Battles against Dynamax Pokémon and collect Max Particles.

Leading up to the official release, players will have the opportunity to start gathering Max Particles. Notable Pokémon making their Dynamax debut in one-star Max Battles include Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Skwovet, and Wooloo.

This season also marks the first extensive introduction of Gen 8 Pokémon into Pokémon Go. While some Gen 8 Pokémon have appeared before, such as Wooloo and its Galarian forms, this season will finally allow players to catch Grookey, Scorbunny, Sobble, and Dreepy. Additionally, players in the UK will have the chance to encounter the regionally exclusive Stonjourner.

A new Special Research quest will be available on September 3rd, where players will select one of the Galar starter Pokémon—Grookey, Scorbunny, or Sobble—leading to a branching quest experience. The chosen Pokémon will also influence the background of the Postcard Book throughout the Max Out season.

Shiny forms of already-released Gen 8 Pokémon, including Wooloo and Skwovet, will also be made available.
