Pokémon Go plans to introduce item sharing within Parties
Pokémon Go is gearing up to introduce item sharing capabilities within Parties, as revealed through recent datamining efforts.
This new feature appears to allow players to share the benefits of active items like Lucky Eggs, Star Pieces, and Incenses with fellow Party members. However, it is important to note that the feature is still undergoing testing, and its final form may change.
The idea is that one player can activate a Lucky Egg for double XP and subsequently share that enhancement with all Party members. This could help conserve resources and PokéCoins usually spent on acquiring these premium items individually.
The Party system was introduced last October, enabling up to four players to view each other’s avatars on the in-game map and tackle mini co-op challenges together. One of the main advantages of being in a Party is the enhanced raid attack power, making it easier for smaller groups to take down tougher bosses.
However, a notable drawback of participating in a Party is the significant battery drain it causes on devices. Players are hopeful for potential improvements to mitigate this issue in future updates.
In addition to item sharing, upgrades are reportedly on the horizon for the Routes feature, which allows players to create their own walking paths. The latest datamine suggests that players will now be able to find up to three Zygarde cells per Route. Moreover, new profile badges will be available for completing a specific number of Routes and unique Routes.
The developer of Pokémon Go has indicated that it is actively seeking player feedback following the mixed reactions to recent avatar updates.
Looking ahead, the next major event for Pokémon Go will be Go Fest 2024, taking place in Madrid and New York, followed by a global celebration in July. This year’s festivities will introduce the Pokémon Fusion mechanic and feature the powerful creature, Necrozma.
