‘Rivals Week’ Quest Steps in Pokémon Go

The Rivals Week quest is active throughout the event, and players must complete it before the event concludes to earn rewards. To assist you, here are the quest steps and rewards:

‘Rivals Week’ Step 1 of 1

• Catch 15 Fighting-type Pokémon – Encounter a Mankey
• Power up 15 Fighting-type Pokémon – Encounter a Machop
• Earn 10,000 Stardust – Encounter a Gligar
• Earn 20,000 XP – Encounter a Throh
• Battle in the Go Battle League 5 times – Encounter a Sawk

Rewards: 5000 XP, 3 Rare Candies, and 2 Fast TMs

Rivals Week Field Research Tasks in Pokémon Go

Players can obtain event-exclusive field research tasks by spinning PokéStops during the Rivals Week event. These tasks can also be saved for completion after the event ends.

Here are the Rivals Week field research tasks:

• Catch 10 Pokémon – Rewards: Encounter a Mankey, Poliwag, or Ralts
• Power up Pokémon 10 times – Rewards: Encounter an Alolan Sandshrew or Gligar
• Power up Pokémon 15 times – Rewards: Encounter a Lickitung or Galarian Stunfisk
• Spin 5 PokéStops or Gyms – Rewards: 5 Poké Balls, 3 Potions, or 2 Revives

Everything You Need to Know About Rivals Week in Pokémon Go

During Rivals Week, players can enjoy several bonuses, including double catch candy and x10 XP from spinning Gym Photo Discs. Additionally, players will have an increased chance to encounter shiny versions of Zangoose, Seviper, Throh, Sawk, Heatmor, and Durant.

The following Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild during the event:

• Alolan Sandshrew
• Mankey
• Poliwag
• Machop
• Lickitung
• Gligar
• Ralts
• Galarian Stunfisk

Players can also catch several regionally exclusive Pokémon throughout Rivals Week. The availability of these Pokémon will change throughout the event:

• Zangoose and Seviper – Available from Saturday to Monday
• Throh and Sawk – Available from Monday to Wednesday
• Heatmor and Durant – Available from Wednesday to Thursday

Go Battle Weekend in Pokémon Go Explained

The Go Battle Weekend runs concurrently with Rivals Week, providing players with an opportunity to engage in up to 200 battles over the weekend. Players will receive x4 Stardust for win rewards, excluding end-of-set rewards. A free-to-play timed research quest is also available, rewarding players with Hala-Style Sandals.

A paid timed research quest is available for $1 or the equivalent in local currency. This quest is nonrefundable and offers rewards including three Rare Candies, three Rare Candy XL, one Star Piece, and additional Stardust.
