Everything You Need to Know About Sizeable Surprises
The Sizeable Surprises event runs until April 9th at 8 PM (local time) and features three exciting bonuses. First, trainers will earn double XP for catching Pokémon with Nice, Great, or Excellent Throws. However, this bonus does not stack with the catch XP from the Community Day Classic event on April 7th.
Additionally, players will have an increased chance of encountering both XXS and XXL Pokémon, making this event ideal for progressing toward the Tiny Pokémon Collector and Jumbo Pokémon Collector Medals. The shiny Wailmer encounter rates are also heightened during this event.
Moreover, the Sizeable Surprises event includes an update to the World of Wonders special research quest.
Throughout the Sizeable Surprises event, various Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild, including:
- Diglett
- Onix
- Snorlax
- Mantine
- Wailmer
- Joltik
- Tynamo
- Cutiefly
- Wimpod
- Cetoddle
The event also introduces shiny versions of Celesteela and Kartana. These Ultra Beasts can be caught only through five-star raids and are regionally exclusive—Kartana in the Northern Hemisphere and Celesteela in the Southern Hemisphere. Trainers can use Remote Raid Passes in conjunction with various apps to participate in these raids.
In addition to Celesteela and Kartana, players can challenge various Pokémon in raids during the Sizeable Surprises event, including one-star, three-star, and mega Pokémon.
Good luck catching a diverse array of both large and small Pokémon during the Sizeable Surprises event!
