February 2024 marks an exciting milestone in the world of Pokémon Go with the first-ever Chansey Community Day. Known for its role as a Gym defender and its iconic presence in the anime, where it often accompanies Nurse Joy, Chansey has long been a beloved Pokémon among fans.

Chansey is renowned for its defensive capabilities in Pokémon Go. With the introduction of Level 50 XL Blissey and Level 50 XL Chansey, it’s clear that trainers can expect an even tougher challenge when attacking gyms occupied by these Pokémon.

As Chansey is a middle evolution due to the later introduction of Happiny in the game, this Community Day will be slightly more complex than usual. Happiny can only be obtained from Eggs, and shiny rates for Happiny will also be boosted during the event. Trainers aiming to catch shiny Happiny will need to prepare for some serious egg-hatching, as they will hatch more frequently from 2km Eggs, which will become 0.5km Eggs when placed in an incubator during the event hours.

Chansey will spawn abundantly throughout the event, providing trainers with the best opportunity to catch a Chansey with 100% perfect IV stats. Understanding Blissey’s effective moveset is essential if you manage to achieve this feat.

Chansey’s 100% Perfect IV Stats in Pokémon Go

The Community Day in February presents the perfect chance to find a Chansey with perfect IV stats. For Chansey, the CP values corresponding to perfect 15/15/15 stats are:

Level 30 (wild CP maximum) – 1075 CP
Level 35 (weather boosted CP maximum) – 1165 CP

These CP values align with the current Trainer Level until reaching Level 30. Most players exceed this level, so these values remain relevant for simplicity. Perfect stats are crucial for success in the Master League and raids, where the ideal stats are 15/15/15.

In the Great League and Ultra League, however, perfect stats differ. The goal is to reach the highest level without exceeding the CP cap (1500 for Great League and 2500 for Ultra League). Thus, the highest-level Pokémon in these leagues often have low attack and high defense stats.

Shiny variants typically exhibit distinct color changes, with shiny Chansey transforming into a vibrant green, shiny Happiny changing from peach to pink and purple, and shiny Blissey becoming a very pale pink.

To maximize the chances of evolving shiny Chansey or shiny Blissey with the exclusive move, trainers should wait until after the event to evolve their catches. This allows ample time to collect enough candy while enjoying the shiny hunting experience.
