Starfield, how to access its DLC, Shattered Space, and at what level we recommend doing it
If you’re a fan of Bethesda and have been captivated by Starfield, today is certainly a special day for you. The much-anticipated DLC, Shattered Space, has finally arrived, bringing with it hours of never-before-seen content. As is customary with expansions from the American studio, it’s crucial to know how to access this new adventure, and that’s what we’re here to clarify.
How to Access Shattered Space, the Starfield DLC
As previously mentioned, there isn’t a straightforward option in the Starfield menu that will lead you directly into this new chapter. Instead, you will need to take some initiative to enter the expansion. Once you have purchased and downloaded the DLC, the requirements for access are minimal, although we recommend ensuring you’re prepared before diving in.
To begin your journey in Shattered Space, continue with your existing game save. The expansion can be initiated from practically any point in the main story. After completing the first mission titled A Small Step, you will have met all the necessary criteria to start exploring the DLC.
Next, you’ll need to travel across the galaxy to a location where you do not currently have an active mission. This will trigger a distress signal, which is the first step towards entering the DLC. Your destination will be the space station El Oráculo, where you will need to head next.
Recommended Level for Shattered Space
While it’s true that players can access the DLC at any level (and some brave souls might jump in right at the start), Shattered Space is designed for characters who are a bit more seasoned. We recommend waiting until you reach approximately level 30-35 or higher before embarking on this new mission.
Duration of Shattered Space
You might be wondering how long the expansion will take to complete. Bethesda has provided an estimate, stating that Shattered Space will last around 10 to 15 hours. However, for those who enjoy exploring every nook and cranny of the galaxy, it’s likely to take even longer to fully experience all that the DLC has to offer.
