The new A2 expansion called “Spacetime Struggle” comes to Pokémon TCG Pocket in less than a week, with two new packs and more than 140 cards to collect

After a little over a month since the release of the A1 mini set, the eagerly awaited expansion, A2: Spacetime Struggle, is about to launch in Pokémon TCG Pocket. This new set will prominently feature the legendary Pokémon from the fourth generation, Dialga and Palkia, along with a diverse array of cards boasting various rarities, plus new cosmetics and gameplay mechanics.

What’s Exciting About the Spacetime Struggle Expansion

In contrast to the A1 expansion, known as “Formidable Genes,” the A2 expansion will present just two new packs centered around these legendary figures. Players can anticipate discovering over 140 fresh cards showcasing a range of Pokémon. Although not all card details are available yet, here are some that have been confirmed:

Confirmed Cards

  • Dialga – Ex
  • Palkia – Ex
  • Lucario – Full Art
  • Turtwig – Normal
  • Chimchar – Normal
  • Piplup – Normal
  • Pachirisu – Ex
  • Leafeon – Metal
  • Honchkrow – Normal
  • Cynthia – Full Art
  • Gible – Normal

There will surely be many more new cards, but for now, these are the ones for which official announcements have been made through the expansion’s trailer.

New Features and Cosmetics

The development team has also revealed plans for new cosmetics, including album covers and display cases. Similar to the offerings from the “Formidable Genes” set and the “Singular Isle,” players will likely find these new items available for purchase in the store using store coupons.

Additionally, players should be aware that trading will open one day ahead of the expansion’s release. This provides everyone a chance to compile a list of cards they need for trading with friends. However, it’s essential to remember that certain rarities will not be eligible for trading.

Release Date for Spacetime Struggle

The expansion is scheduled to launch on Thursday, January 30, at 7:00 AM, following the pattern of previous updates. If you haven’t accumulated sands of time for opening packs, you still have a few days to avoid using the four daily “gifted” sands. Keep in mind that these sands can be used to open any pack from the new expansion.

It’s also important to note that the introduction of this new expansion will not eliminate previous packs. So, if you’re still working on your collection, you can continue opening packs from the Formidable Genes and Singular Isle expansions.

For players eager to delve into the Pokémon TCG Pocket universe, this upcoming expansion promises thrilling new cards, innovative mechanics, and numerous chances to elevate your gameplay experience. Prepare to dive into Spacetime Struggle and discover new strategies!
