To the Crossroads 100% in Dragon Age: The Veilguard
To the Crossroads
This is the seventh mission in the tale of Dragon Age: The Veilguard. The quest will automatically trigger after you finish Enemy of My Enemy. This guide offers key tips to help you navigate each part effectively, along with insights into collectibles, side quests, and the choices made during the story.
Your first step is to talk to Bellara at the eluvian.
- Maybe Morrigan was wrong – This is the option we selected.
- Is it safe?
- What do you mean?
- Who are you?
- Nice trick – This is the option we selected.
- Be cautious.
- We need to be careful.
- One thing doesn’t negate the other – This is the option we selected.
- I don’t trust you.
Then, use the eluvian to select your party. We chose Bellara and Harding. Remember that conversations may change depending on your party composition.
- I could use a guide – This is the option we selected. Don’t laugh; you’re using one.
- Sure. I knew that.
- Is it dangerous?
There isn’t much to do in this area just yet. In front of you is a post for changing the group, but since not much time has passed, you probably haven’t changed your mind. Move towards the marker and check to the left before the pillars for a document on the ground.
Proceed a bit further, and you’ll find… a means of transport. Speak with the Guard to exit this transit area. As you advance, enemies will appear. Defeat them and start exploring. If you climb a ladder to the southwest, you’ll come across one of those magical artifacts. Have Bellara examine the energy crystal to use it.
You need to direct the beam at the top of the pillars next to the door with red roots. There are two crystals, one on each side, so charge one and keep the beam steady. You can explore a bit, and some missions might activate as you approach certain closed doors. The game will indicate that they will open “later,” but there’s a specific path of interest: the trail that leads east and descends, taking you to the Laboratories Beneath Our Feet mission.
Back in the plaza of the doors, follow the marker and turn left at the intersection to find a chest containing the Amiga de los guardas+1 armor for Harding. Continue onward and destroy the corruption cyst to summon Sirin the Reforged. This creature is vulnerable to Fire. Maintain your distance, and your primary concern will be the directional area effect attack it unleashes in phases, which shouldn’t be too difficult. Utilize the concepts of primers and detonators to interrupt it and raise the execution bar, along with your abilities, etc.
After defeating it, ascend the slope to discover the first Altar of Fen’Harel.
These altars allow you to gain skill points when, after activating the statue, you head in the direction it’s facing. When you reach the designated point, a small statuette will appear, granting you the skill point once collected. In this case, you’ll need to climb the slope and jump to the ledge directly in front of you before turning left to return to the area of the doors.
As you continue left, you’ll arrive at the second magical artifact (be mindful of the document near the railing). Ask Bellara to repair the crystal and aim it at the second node above the red door. You should see a gate rising near the scaffolding where you are, just to the left of the crystal you just charged.
Inside, there’s a small chest with the Heart of Andraste accessory. Now jump back to the plaza and open the gate using the essence of the champion that Sirin dropped. The mission technically concludes here, but we won’t head directly to the next one. Open a chest to the left of the stairs, slightly ahead of your position. Now you’ll need to decide whether to go to Treviso and activate Blood Sea or take the eluvian to the Port City to complete The Case of the Smuggled Relic first. In our case, we’re starting with the latter, but remember that you must finish both to progress in the storyline.
