With just five days difference from the first, STALKER 2 releases the third patch to correct more errors and bugs
Just five days after the last update, GSC Game World has launched the third patch for STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl. This new update, version 1.03, focuses on fixing a range of persistent bugs and errors that have affected players since the game’s release.
Patch 1.03: Key Changes
Within a week, players have seen the deployment of patches 1.01, 1.02, and now 1.03, all aimed at resolving various gameplay issues. Many of these problems have complicated the completion of both main and side missions, as well as disrupted exploration in the challenging Zone.
The development team has expressed their commitment to continuous updates, actively considering player feedback to enhance the gaming experience. Here are the main highlights from the patch notes:
Memory and Error Resolutions
- Multiple fixes for ACCESS_VIOLATION_ERROR.
- Various solutions addressing LowLevelFatalError crashes.
Control Enhancements
- In response to player input, adjustments have been made to minimize input lag for keyboard and mouse users.
- Mouse smoothing has been turned off by default.
- Mouse acceleration has also been disabled by default.
- Default sensitivity settings have been revised for a more uniform experience.
- Camera sensitivity is now set at 25%.
- Aim sensitivity has been adjusted to 15%.
Main and Side Mission Fixes
- Resolved an issue where enemies could chase the player outside during the ‘In Search of Past Glory’ mission.
- Fixed a bug that caused NPCs to die when trying to enter a building in the ‘At the Limit’ mission.
- Addressed a problem that allowed players to vanish before looting an item in the ‘In the Name of Science’ mission.
- Corrected a blocking issue occurring during the ‘Dangerous Relations’ mission.
