To complete the Deliver the Grilled Fish side quest in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, you must find Anube and deliver his mother’s grilled fish to him. Anube’s mother, located in Seesyde Village, provides a hint about Anube’s location but doesn’t explain how to reach him. This guide will help you navigate the quest and claim your rewards quickly.

How to Start Deliver the Grilled Fish

Begin the quest by speaking with the woman on the wooden pier in Seesyde Village. She is the one with the “Is he coming home?” text bubble above her. You’ll likely be in this area while progressing through the main quest, ‘The Jabul Waters Rift.’

Deliver the Grilled Fish Walkthrough

Once you receive the grilled fish from Anube’s mother, you need to carry it to Anube, who is located in the woods directly north of Seesyde Village. It’s important to note that presenting the Grilled Fish Echo to Anube will not fulfill the quest; he specifically wants his mother’s special grilled fish.

To reach Anube, head north until you encounter a fallen pillar that serves as a bridge over the river leading into Jabul Waters. Before you set off, ensure you learn the Grilled Fish Echo from the fish given to you. As you navigate towards Anube, you can either create your own path using Echoes like the Old Bed or toss the fish onto the fallen pillar and use an Echo like the Trampoline to ascend.

If you accidentally lose or damage the fish along the way, you can return to Anube’s mother in Seesyde Village for a replacement.

Upon crossing the fallen pillar, you’ll enter the woods where Anube is located. Be cautious of a group of enemies surrounding a chest beneath him. Use the Grilled Fish Echo to distract the enemies and defeat them with an Echo like the Peahat. Once the enemies are cleared, you can unlock the chest to obtain 10 Riverhorses.

Next, you’ll need to ascend to Anube’s position on the northern cliff. You can achieve this by stacking three Old Bed Echoes to create a staircase, then throw the grilled fish up as you climb.

Remember, Anube is only interested in his mother’s cooking, so using the Grilled Fish Echo directly in front of him will not progress the quest. To complete the quest, return to Anube’s mother in Seesyde Village and speak with her.

Deliver the Grilled Fish Rewards

Upon completing the ‘Deliver the Grilled Fish’ side quest, you will receive 10 pieces of Bubble Kelp. This item can be utilized in various smoothie recipes within the game.
